I remember doing a house with my dad and the householder was a woman.I think she was of German descent and she kept saying "I'm hiding" we looked a each other and left her a magazine. All during this time she just kept saying they're coming.I think she must have been a Nazi Holocaust Survivor.

Your worst field service experience.
by littlebird inmy worst field service experience was this.. i didn't have a car at the time and so a pioneer sister was picking me up of service every couple of days.
she was my partner and i got a door where the woman was clearly not interested.
as i am stepping away the pioneer sister starts in with all the objection stoppers.

I remeber field service in the hot summer. One of the householders wanted to bring their dogs on us.All this did help the fact that it was 95 degrees and I was wearing a suit and tie.Man those were the days.Trying to meet field service hour requirements.

How miserable are Witless Kids REALLY?
by hamsterbait in25 years ago i lived in an apartment overlooking the grounds of the local high school.. at the time i still totally believed the lie.
a lot of the dub students went to my hell.. i noticed looking out my window, that the witless kids always looked miserable and isolated.
yet in the kingdumb hell they would behave almost euphorically.. what was going on?.

I can relate in so many ways, No holidays, or school dances or not being to date outside one's own religion.I was not miserable at first since I was raised into the religion, buut it just become too much for me over time.I was between the age of 13 to 16 and was being pressured to be baptised.I felt like I was too young to make such a life long promise and feeling like I let Jehovah down and feeling scared about dying during the Great Tribulation.

listening to Mitchael Jackson music is bad. I remeber a talk where a brother once said and quote "You do not need a college degree to suceed in this world" What in this day and age with all this advanced computer technolgy yes you do need a college. No wonder many Jw's can not progress or better themselves. College is about critical thinking skills something most Jw's do not have.Luck for me I am going to college.

Yes I do, you see we live only one life and that is it we do not live forever. With time after leaving the Jw's I learned that living forever is really just a myth a means to control you.One has to ask themself would living forever really be all that grand.Wouldn't you Ironically get tired of life.Thank aobut it like this would you appreiciate the little things in life such as a sunrise or sunset or a child's laughter if you were to live forever? It is the little things in life that mak life in many ways woth living.

Pre Armageddon Preparation.
by Clam inare there jws who prepare for the tribulations they assume are around the corner?
when i visted the us once in 1999 i met a few guys who were expecting a global meltdown due to the millenium bug.. as a consequence they had generators, guns, ammo, tins of food, bottled water, fuel, all kinds of stuff to help them through a civil disorder situation.
does anyone know or remember any jws who have prepared like this?

My question how long do oy expect this Armageddon to last? How will you surivie if you run out of food and water than what?I gues everybody start learning how to plant a garden and learning how to preserve stuff. This is going to be a bumpy ride.
