  While the world stood still with tears and sorrow....

  on friday, november 22, 1963, i was in high school in the cafeteria in fort worth, texas sitting at a table filled with school chums.. my jehovah's witness buddy, johnny, was back from shaking john f. kennedy's hand in front of his hotel earlier that morning.. he and his family were (oddly) big fans of jfk.

  go figure.... .

  not less than ten minutes later the speakers in the cafeteria crackled to life and the principle, g.b.trimble announced that president kennedy.

  i was wondering how is 2011 going for you?

  this year for me is noting starting off great.with everything from a leak roof and water problems to trying to keep my grades up for school.so tell how is your year turning out so far..

  2 months of downers.

  i've had a very difficult 2 months since my uncle has died.

  it is not becasue of his death, it just so happend to follow his death and that is the time line.. i've always been a strong woman, from little, i had to stand on my own two feet and not lean on anyone - and i that is how i tick.. each instance has hit me financially and has been piled high on my plate.

  there have been days when i thought i should end it all and literally take my own life - if i had something quick at my disposal, i know i wouldn't be here now.

  i have a 10 year old.

  been to the kh once, at about 3 years old, for a relative's funeral.

  lately, my 10 year old and her bff are talking on the phone alot.

  machiavellian a word that could have been invented for the borg leadership.

  i happened to come across the word machiavellian.heard it plenty of times but never really knew what it meant.it's an adjective and sums up the jw leadership like no other word.it means as follows ; .

  elaborately cunning ; scheming, unscrupulous,deceitful, shrewd, crafty,wily,foxy, tricky,perfidious,nefarious,treacherous,sneaky .. well i guess that just about covers it.unless anyone can come up with anymore.. .

  Machiavelli also said "to rule is to decieve". Thing about that in relation to the witnesses.

  Did you have anybody stay at your house?

  in 2000-2001 we had 2 witness stay at our house because they were building a new kh.

  the experience was strange to see the least but the people were nice.today the jw's are not as nice.. does anybody have similar experiences..

  What's The Biggest Difference In Today's JWs And The Witnesses From Decades Ago?

  i believe today's witnesses lack zeal, resolve, "love" of the "truth"......just to name a few things.. years ago, witnesses were excited to knock on doors and tell people they were gonna die if they didn't accept paradise.. now, when you see jws in service, they all look zombied out.. it's a slowly dying religion that will last probably forever like an ancient rotted out tree..

  I remeber when they showed the movie Young People ask: How can I make real friends.This was at the KH I think they only did this once in 1995.After that they stopped and it become boring then.
