How many of us have Higher Learning, and still mop floors

someone who works at a college locally, pointed out to me that one of their scholar students was stocking shelves at a dollar store.. with this recession, are you finding that higher learning is wasting time?

i know that it's necessary to become a dr. or a lawyer, but, with the shortage of work, even teachers are working as secretarys.. what do you think?.

Myself I am looking to get into a trade and then go for my bachlors degree in sociology.

for years, i was told this..... " anyone who leaves the org is bitter, sad, and worse off, why do you think they come back???

guess what guys i am the opposite, now i quit cold-turkey (looking back, i should have faded correctly) i am planning on going to the memorial this month just to hear all "the friends" tell me how much they missed me.

since i have left the meetings, (jan. was my last meeting, i think).

This is true when you tell Jw's that you are doing well it is upsetting to them. they want you doing badly so they can feel better about themselves. In the sense that they feel that they have the true religon .Which is the farest thing from the truth.

i'm only going to the meeting because of my husband!

i was 'in' solo for years while living with my unbelieving family and i know how it feels to be the only one in your house going to the meeting.

i also respect my husband's decision, and know what it's like to have family try to tear down your beliefs.

okay, so the jws (and my mom) would be so happy if i started going to meetings again.

i've made it clear i don't believe what they say so why would they care if i went to meetings?

do they want me to go meetings and be an open dissenter?

yes it possible to be reprogrammed into the cult. That is why I try reading the literature because I believe for all of us on this forum.That tha watchtower can suck us right back in.

I agree Tater-T I just had two Jehovah witness come to my door a few minutes ago. I was going to go up them but I was not properly dressed. I wil go up them next time.
