  Old out-of-touch JWs using antiquated terms

  ever notice how completely out of touch some (most?

  ) public speakers are?.

  last week we had a speaker ramble on for fully 1/3, maybe 1/2, of his 30 minute talk on the evils of "rap music".. i don't believe the term "rap music" has been uttered by anyone under the age of 40 for at least 20-25 years.. this week we got another "older gentleman" warning us about the pervasive dangers of "internet chat rooms".. again - didn't "chat rooms" die out about the same time as dialing up to connect to aol?.

  I remember when in 2008 a brother was talking about Myspace.Hello Facebook was the dominat social network than and still is and Myspace is outdated some of these people are so out of touch.I also heard about chat rooms this is no longer the 90's.

  Were U Surprised To Learn Anything About The Witnesses That U Didn't Know??

  when i was a kid, i researched the origins of the religion and realized that the witnesses were an offshoot of adventism.....we're you surprised to learn something about the witnesses that you didn't realize?.

  That whole 1975 scandal and the charles taze russel false prophecies. I was shocked when I learned so much.

  Their is a sense of emptiness that I was not their when I was in from 1995 up to 2004.After that things became very cult like and controlling.

  I even remeber the get togethers and those have been done away with.Now it is just meetings and more meetings it is very boring today. I would not want to be a Jw today.

  yes I has in the 90's it was not as controlling but today they seem crazy with control.They really have lost their way.

  I do not even recognize this religion anymore.
