Reality exists in your brain
by Nickolas ini've just posted the following in another thread whose subject is supernatural experience, but it may deserve its own thread so i'll repost it here.
i don't believe in the supernatural but i do believe that people experience unexplained things.
where i differ from some people is that i perceive the unexplained things exist only in their brains and not in the physical world around them.. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------.

If you are disposed to a belief in the supernatural, your brain will be disposed to seek out evidence of it and you will be disposed to interpreting what you experience as supernatural even when you are wide awake.
I have heard too many times that "Content is Consciousness", if this is understood, how does it affect my approach to life/living?

sabastious-- Here are some who loved the lord enough to do powerful works in his name-this is judgement--Matt 7: 21-23 -- There isnt a man, woman or child on this earth that pledges allegiance to a kingdom of man who wont here those words. One cannot serve two masters-either Jesus is your king or a king of man is. If one pledges allegiance to a man king-he loses. Every human on this earth is brainwashed from their youth up for the man made word patriotism. to pledge allegiance to a man king.except the JW,s. Satan transforming into an angel of light- or does one think that God will crush what is his?
According to your doctrine Jehovah allows for governments. Why? Because they are necessary to provide your people with means to do your life-saving work. They are a required piece of the puzzle. If they go down your message has not medium. And you greatly demonize their drive to grow? What would you have them do? Tell me.
Jehovah has loaned the world to Satan, he is ultimately in full control. Just because one works in cooperation with governments to enrichen their, and their peers, lives is hardly a symptom of brainwashing.
You are drawing the line in the sand and, frankly, no one really seems to notice.

If I were a man of belief, then I would see this as a sign from god(your lucid dream as microcosm of waking life), that the life you are living now, is but a lucid dream. This could be how the "spiritual" was invented or has come to be.

Is there a new "full court press" to bring back "lost ones"?
by tenyearsafter ini ask the question because all of a sudden i am getting bombarded by my mother and other family members to "take my wife's hand and run back to jehovah before it is too late"!!
i am getting e-mail with screen shots of the un website (http://www.un.org/en/peace) stating "peace and security", being told that this could likely be the last memorial celebrated and that the door to the ark will be closing soon.
has anyone else been seeing an up-tick in these "prodigal son" appeals from jw friends and family?

Perhaps you should come to your senses before you are destroyed in god's great day of vengeance.

I have a question...
by Igot2bme ini have been contemplating this and i don't know if this has been covered or not.
i have been thinking that if the facts of things were disclosed to me from the get go such as the wts being associated with the un, or the wts blood guilt in connection with malawi, or various other things that i feel were kept from me and countless others in the religion you would think that you could have some kind of recourse when daing like bing able to overturn your baptism over on the grounds of false or misleading information or withholding valuable information.
i know that i wouldn't took the plunge into baptism if i would have known then what i know now!.

After all, your relationship is with jehovah and not man. jehovah has commissioned the WTBS to watch over his earthly belongings, they make mistakes
Surely you do not want to be in opposition with jehovah's arrangement?

It is all good MLE pile it on
This is one from Jer(OntheWayOut)
I believe a spiritual journey is essential for most everyone. (I say "most" because some love distractions in their life and/or happen to be content with whatever they have found, be it family or purpose or work or whatever, and don't really search.)
But I also believe (mind you, I am an unbeliever now) that it doesn't have to be for "the truth" as JW's taught us. When I realized that I was not seeking some higher truth or higher purpose to life itself, I was able to focus on personal truth (Who am I?) and personal purpose (What do I want to do with myself?)
I just saw BORN TO BE WILD 3D which is about a lady who rescues baby elephants and another lady that rescues baby orangatans. They both eventually return them to the wild. These ladies have found a spiritual path that has nothing to do with the ultimate religious/scientific/universal "truth." Most everyone can do something toward finding their own purpose in life. It will be different for every person.
