Not "hasseled", but "persecuted".

Acutally, when I first started lurking here I thought to myself that "some of these people need to let go and move on with their lives." But as I got more involved in reading posts and the responses, I feel this is not the case. Some who are still in read this board. Some who post here are still in. Others, who have left, may have certain feelings or thoughts, and may wonder if they're the only one who feels/thinks that way; this board serves as as support group. Also, many of the postings help all readers to refute WT teachings and practices, which can be very helpful to those being pressured by active JW spouses and families.
Just lurking on this board, a couple of years ago, helped me firm up my decision never to go back to the organization.

Sure! Looks like FUN! Especially the first one!
The second one looks like a book study group, all seated and paying more than the usual attention, but maybe the person whose house it is has a problem with demons from something they bought at a garage sale and the demon is making the floor swing around to interfere with the divine education work. The witnesses don't seem to notice, though.

Welcome to JWN Salsa Girl! All your observations are correct. Especially the gossip and slander. Even the elders and ministerial servants gossip and disclose "confidential" matters that the flock tells them in confidence; in fact they joke about it. Most are self-righteous and condescending.

LongHairGal, I've noticed in the organization over the years, many "heads of household" can never hold a job for more than a few months. They have a wife and children to support but every few months they are out of work. And I've noticed that many brothers who were raised in the truth are simply looking for a mommy to pick up their dirty clothes off the floor and cook their meals for them.
In fact, one time I mentioned to some brothers that I hate to iron. Their reply was that I needed to get married so I wouldn't have to iron anymore.

Are JWs the worst restaurant customers?
by Alfred in(a little background info before i ask my question...).
my sister-in-law (non-jw), who manages a popular chain restaurant near a kingdom hall, just found out that my wife and i have recently faded, so she decided to get something off her chest the other day... you guessed it: she wanted us to know that jws are the worst customers ever!
she then told us some really embarrassing stories about how jws would request a table for 15 to 20 people (after a sunday meeting) and then (when the bill came) some of the jws would start deliberating amongst themselves on whether or not the waiter was diligent or not (to justify the low tip he was getting anyway).

Many JWs feel that since the servers are worldly, and therefore already dead in God's eyes, that it's a waste of $ to tip them since these sinful pagans will soon be throwing their gold and silver into the streets, and their eyes will be rotting their very sockets.....
Another habit JWs have is, if you offer to take someone out to a restaurant, they always order the most expensive things on the menu. However when they have people over to their home for a meal, they serve macaroni and cheese.

They seem to think that single people have more time than the others to pioneer.
The truth is, singles have LESS free time, because they have to work full time to support themselves AND prepare their own meals, do their own laundry and other chores. Married brothers come home and have a hot meal waiting on the table, then they study while the wife does the dishes, and washes and irons his clothes. Both husband and wife can share in household chores and yardwork. A single person has to come home, cook his/her own meal, do his own laundry and ironing and shopping and cleaning and all other household chores.
They also seem to think single people are lonely and depressed, sitting around crying about not having a mate.
And, of course, they think the cure for loneliness and depression is to go out in service.
