i am looking for more scriptures that can prove to a jehovah witness that god is jesus, and jesus is god.i found only one verse so far in 1jo:5:20: and we know that the son of god is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his son jesus christ.

this is the true god, and eternal life.. if you know more scriptures that say directly that god is jesus please tell me the verses the jhw will see plainly that jesus is no way an angel, and he is jehovah god almighty.. my friend said if i can prove by the bible only that jesus is god he will leave the jhw society, and he will know that they are teaching lies and they would be to him a dogma religious sect.

my friend gave me a booklet called should you believe in the trinity?, and is jesus christ the almighty god.

I'm just trying to make sure I understand what you are
saying. Maybe, we are saying the same thing, but in just slightly different ways? You wanted to know if as a Christian I believe in Satan. I believe he exists, but I put no faith in him. He is not my god. But I would think that Satanists go further than this and put their trust in him. I also
believe the Father and the Son exist, but I put my faith in them. And I would think it possible for people to believe in the existence of the Father and Son, and yet not put their faith in them.
Is that what you mean by "worship?"

Proof of the "historical" Jesus...

been wondering about this lately.... what proof (outside the bible, of course) do we have for the "historical jesus"?.

in my earlier days (post jw to "born again christian") i remember reading that the one thing that differentiates christianity vs. "all the others" was that we had secular historical proof that there was a man that was called jesus, who died on a cross and was resurrected.

now i am wondering just what that proof is/was?

By your own admission, you state that a cult does not begin without a founder. Yet that is what skeptics ask us to believe about Christianity. Don't they deny a "historical" Jesus? The rightness or wrongness of your followers behavior wouldn't negate the fact that you began the cult.

As to James 2:26, as I see it, by reading the context of the whole chapter means that proper conduct can only come about with an
authentic commitment to God in faith. Faith produces works and not
vice versa.

While it is true that the Bible admits of other gods doesn't mean that it promotes them. I worship one God but I certainly
don't believe in these other gods, nor would I posit the argument of other gods to minimize Jesus' role, as if He is another god
amongst the many.

Do you have that faith you mention? If you don't, do you want it? Or are you content with your "proofs" of Jesus' non-existence?

And a lot of good it does! The two sites you posted confirm that. Obviously written to disprove the "proofs," to raise questions and doubts.
But thank God my faith in Jesus is not based on the pros and cons of historical records.
I don't have to prove the "historical" Jesus. I know He lives now.
Have you experienced Him? Only then can you know, that you know,
that you know...that He exists.

I don't believe that the Bible denies that there are other gods.
Moses was spoken of as God to Pharaoh (Ex. 7:1) Idols are called gods
(Baal in Judge 8:33; Chemosh in Judges 11:24; Dagon in Judges 16:23, etc.). The judges are called gods (Ps. 82) Satan, as you pointed out, is the god of this world (2 Cor. 4:4)

St. Paul probably expressed it best when he said: "...we know that
'there is no God but one.' Indeed, even though there are so-called gods in heaven and on earth (there are, to be sure, many 'gods' and many 'lords'), yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom all things are and from whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are and through whom we exist." (1 Cor. 8:4-6)

All those "proofs" from extrabiblical sources that you mention like Josephus (and others you don't mention like Suetonus, Pliny the Younger, Tacitus, etc.) are
certainly not believed by skeptics. Maybe skeptics are the "doubting
Thomases," who have "to see in order to believe." But Josephus won't convince them. I believe in Jesus, but I can't "prove" him to anyone. And I believed in him long before I ever heard of Josephus.
