just finished watching dateline.

i was very much impressed.. it didn't make the watchtower look good at all.

The W.T. declined interviews for the same reason the
judicial committee declined to attend Bill Bowen's hearing.
It's called cowardice from public scrutiny (especially when
they are made to appear in a bad light).

It didn't make the Watchtower look good at all. I bet
there's a whole lot of squirming going on their part tonight, with
more to come. The W.T. now faces two lawsuits.

Barbara Anderson Disfellowshipped

as of 1 pm today barb anderson was notified that she has been disfellowshipped in writing by the judicial committee in her congregation.

barb was df in absentia at a second hearing that was declared after she successfully defended herself against charges in the first hearing.

home office came back with further instructions to make it stick the second time around.

The judicial committee may have disfellowshipped you.
So what? They are not Jehovah. And He hasn't disfellowshipped
you. He is the ultimate judge, not they. They are just humans like you and I, with one exception. We don't play God. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

jesus christ said these telling words.

and he supplemented them by also saying that his followers would be persecuted as he was persecuted.

jesus's disciples were persecuted in the first century by a bitter wave of roman persecution.

if they did not know before this past friday's airing of dateline they do now.

dateline previewed this tuesday's show.

my jw mom calls me the next morning to tell me about it.

Your post gave me an idea. So, I went to a Catholic board
and posted the info on the upcoming Dateline. I stated that
pedophilia was not indigenous to Catholicism. While the whole world knows about the problem in the Catholic Church, probably few are
aware that other groups have the same problem. Then I proceeded to
tell them about the upcoming Dateline. I ended by saying that
although some of the Witness "whistleblowers" had been excommunicated,
this was not the case with those who came forward in the Catholic
Church.
