Also, go to
http://www.a2z.org/wtarchive/ is a good site for viewing old literature. Click archive on the left. Then scroll down to Magazines. Look at the
April 4, 1940 Consolation, page 14. On the right is a large sign (10 ft. by 18 ft. near San Antonio, Texas proclaiming
"Religion is a Snare and a Racket." See also "All in one family" at the bottom left. For the one on 1940s Reports on Jehovah's Witnesses, scroll down to near the bottom under "News and Magazines"
There are probably other issues with signs and what have you, but I got tired.

The Proclaimers book has some interesting photos. See pages 265, 434, 490 (Watchtowers), 556(Watchtower), 568, 569.
"Jehovah's Witnesses in the Divine Purpose," page 145 states:
"A new service begun in 1936 in Newark, New Jersey, was further developed in London. In advertising the lecture 'Face the Facts' not only were placards suspended from the shoulders of the individual Witnesses fore and aft but, additionally, between those wearing the placards, other Witnesses carried signs fastened to poles. Those signs read alternately 'Religion Is a Snare and a Racket' and 'Serve God and Christ the King.' The brothers then formed a parade line that was six miles long and walked through the busy sections of the city passing out handbills as they went advertising the talk. This spectacular feature came to be known as 'informtion marching'p and was used extensively for some time to advertise the recorded public lecture, though later the Witnesses would walk singly or in pairs instead of forming a parade line."

\Goodness! If I just address Him by God or Father, He might get confused and think I'm really talking to Zeus or Jupiter. JWs must imagine that God is as petty as they are!!!!

Does anyone know when, where and how William J. Schnell died? There have been 3 rumors I read about him recently. One states that close to his death he was trying to be re-instated, but the Society refused him. The other says he died in a mental institution. The third says he died of a heart attack at home. Does anyone have his obituary per chance, who could post it here? William J. Schnell wrote "Thirty Years a Watch Tower Slave." Thanks.

BREAKING NEWS: WATCHTOWER IS STILL A MEMBER OF UN- SOURCE SAYS.
by Scott77 ini have read today this quote from one member on facebook going by the name of ruth eeker.. .
based on her quote, she states that "as well in regards to the un, the society has various name versions registered still in the un.
so they are still not completely out of the supposed beast!".

I was hoping someone would respond to my comments. If not, I will offer my own.
Anyone who checks it out will find out that the U.N. is not a government or secular ruler. We are citizens of whatever country we reside It is an organization comprised of nations. None of these nations are willing to give up their individual sovereignties and be subservient to the U.N. The U.N. doesn't rule over them. It is the nations who belong to it that give it any influence it might have. And even with the backing of member nations it is often weak and ineffective. The U.N., in and of itself, is incapable of doing much. The U.N. is subservient to its member nations and is not a superior authority over its member nations.

Watchtower apologists claim that since the apostle Paul appealed to the Roman emperor they likewise have the right to appeal to the superior authorities of Rom. 13. They say that the U.N. is a governmental body and one of those authorities.

I still love to this day the definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. I'm glad you chose to do something different. I highly commend you.
