TRINITY Challenge for JW's, Unitarians and Anyone Else
by UnDisfellowshipped intrinity challenge using only the new world translation of the holy scriptures -- let us debate and reason on the scriptures about whether god almighty is a trinity, or is only one person.. on another thread, bane said that we know for a fact immediately that nearly all religions other than jehovah's witnesses are false because almost all of them believe in the trinity.
and bane claims he can "out-scripturize" anyone with the help of jehovah.
* the son was praying to the father.

Podobear,
As I see it, all 7 quotations from the Old Testament in Hebrews 1 are applied to the Son to show His superiority over angels, that He is worshiped by angels and that, though he is God, he is distinguished from the Father. Both verses 6 and 10 which were originally addressed to Yahweh are here applied to the Son. Verse 14 concludes by showing that Jesus reigns, while angels minister as those sent to serve.

debator,
Your use of 1 Cor. 15:27 does not apply to Trinitarians. We do not claim that the Father is subject to the Son. Never have. And as to the Father being the only true God does not make Jesus not true and not God. Jesus is the "Way, the Truth, and the Life." John 14:6 Can someone become truer than THE TRUTH? You doctrine seems to imply that Jesus was or could have been false. He never was and never will be.

Djeggnog,
How could Rev. 3:14 be referring to the beginning of Jesus, rather than Jesus being the one who began creation and is ruler over it? Jesus was never a part of the creation He created. Jesus was never a part of what He made. All things were made by Jesus, but He was not one of those things! "All things came into existence through him, and apart from him not even one thing came into existence." John 1:3 Jesus "...sustains all things by the word of his power..." Heb. 1:2,3 Jesus is not a thing of creation, never was and never will be.

The PERFECT Translation...for Churchoids!

Mad Watchtoweroid,
Neither the Holy Ghost nor Jesus nor the Father lose any of their praise, glory, power, honor and authority because you play your word games. Because Jesus addresses only the Father as the true God, you imagine that He was saying that He isn't the true God. How silly! Jesus said He is " the Way, the Truth and the Life." John 14:6 Can one be truer than the Truth? Jesus is inherently true; there never was a time when he was false, which is what your doctrine implies.

Mad JW,
Why do you have such an aversion to God-the-Spirit ? See John 4:24. Why do you give a perjorative meaning to ghost, when that is only ONE of its meanings? Spirit or Ghost, when referring to God, is not speaking of apparations like in Matt. 14:26 and Luke 24:37 nor evil spirits or demons like in Matt. 10:1. So, stop trying to deceive with your Watchtoweroid prattle.

Last Night's Intervention
by brotherdan ini'm afraid of starting a new post because i've stepped on a few feet here with my last post... but i still love you guys.. last night i went home to find my wife and her friend on the couch with the bible, ready to show me how i'm wrong and exercising "apostate thinking".
my wife said, "i am unable to fight you with the bible because you know more than me about it.
but k** knows more and will be able to show you how you are wrong.. so my wife went into the other room so as not to be stumbled by my discussion.

Debator claims that the Watchtower Society can make mistakes in its interpretation of prophecy and their calculations of prophecy. Why, therefore, are their interpretations and calculations worthy of being called "new light"? Why are theirs more accurate than anyone elses? They may claim not to be false prophets, nevertheless, they have proved over and over again that they are administrators of bunk!!!

You need to use another word besides "join" because the Watchtower Society did not join the U.N. If you want to be creditable, you must be more accurate.

The Watchtower tells us that the great crowd or multitude of Rev. 7:9 is found on earth. But, when one shows them that the great crowd is in heaven in Rev. 19:1, 6-7, they would have us believe that there is another or different great crowd from the one on earth and that this is really speaking about angels. They point to Heb. 12:22 for support. Well, surely angels are there, but Heb. shows that Mount Zion, the heavenly city of God, includes not only angels but all who dwell there with Him, including the church of the firstborn or believers in general and the spirits of righteous men made perfect (pre-Chrisitan believers such as Abel in Heb. 11:4 and Noah in 11:7 and Abraham in 11:8, etc. )who are all distinguished from the angels. See Heb. 11:10,13-16; 13:14 and Php. 3:20.
