  what is your idea of paradise?.

  imagine we could have an ideal world to live in , what would you like to see changed to make the world better for you and other people.. also what personnaly would make you happy just in your little part of the world.. does any of you answers fit in with the witness view of paradise?

  My idea of Paradise is the earth filled with J'w's and all those other people (including apostates) whom they didn't think would be there. Could it be that we are now at this point?

  If the "meek inherit the earth" they might not want it. Too much pollution. Too many people. Too much crime. Too much unhappiness.
  No one yet since the Psalms and Matthew were written has inherited the land in the way JW's would have us believe. What will happen when the over 8,000 anointed are no longer with us and Armageddon still hasn't come? Or will the anointed class be open to the other sheep? That should pro-long Armageddon.

  i know that most of you do not believe that the annointed remnant among jehovah's witnesses is the faithful & discreet slave.. so who is?

  jesus did say that this slave (individual or class?

  ) would be feeding his sheep, so who is doing the job?

  If there was a faithful and discreet slave already in existence at the time of Russell, why didn't he consult it rather than go on his own?

  If the "faithful and discreet slave" belong to the Watchtower Society, where were the anointed before Charles T. Russell? And who was feeding his sheep until then? Or were there no sheep until Russell?
  If so, why did Jesus bother to come the first time?

  Herbert W. Armstrong's group is known as the Worldwide Church of God. I don't think he was affiliated with the Watchtower Society.

  The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society was born in dissent. Charles Taze Russell, its founder, (was a Presbyterian, then a Congregationalist, then a skeptic, then an Adventist, and finally originated his own brand). See http://watchtower.observer.org/
  and click on "Russell" in the left panel under "History." His followers were known as Russellites or Millennial Dawners. Still later they became known as International Bible Students. Finally, in 1931 they took on the name Jehovah's witnesses.

  In Africa there is a group that originated in the 1920s called Kitawala Movement.

  Jehovah's Witnesses would have us believe that Jehovah is against war and his Witnesses won't fight. Yet we are told that Jehovah will soon conduct the Battle of Armageddon, which will make all mans wars pale in comparison! What is wrong for man is right for Jehovah. Or could it be that JW's have interpreted a symbolical "battle" for a literal one?

  news article in today's paper is entitled "credit catholics for cleaning house" by stanley crouch (new york daily news).

  "somehow in our nation we are almost always called upon to lead the way when it comes to things of human concern.. "that is why, after all these years of the catholic church's hiding behind cathedral doors, miters and robes, we should be glad that boston's cardinal bernard law has ignored the dictates of rome and called on his clergy to report to the police all the charges of sexual abuse of children by priests..............."

  When all the post 1914 anointed are gone and Armageddon still hasn't come, the Watchtower will make revisions. They will spiritualize beliefs that they now hold literally. Armageddon will become a symbol of the battle between good and evil within the individual heart--with ultimately good winning out. There will be disappointment and defections to be sure, but I don't anticipate that the Witnesses will completely disappear. They might even become more mainstream.
