i am looking for more scriptures that can prove to a jehovah witness that god is jesus, and jesus is god.i found only one verse so far in 1jo:5:20: and we know that the son of god is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his son jesus christ.

Yet, the Word obviously also pre-existed since vs. 1 says the Word was with God. John 6:62: "Does this shock you? What if you were to

"No one has gone up to heaven except the one who has come down from
heaven, the Son of Man" and vs. 31 "The one who comes down from heaven
is above all." So then the Word obviously existed before He became
flesh. No where do we read that the pre-existent Word was created or
had a beginning. If God is an eternal Father than Jesus is an eternal Son. Otherwise, there would be a time when God was not
a father. And he would have become a father either at the time
that the Word was created or when Jesus was born on earth.
Now where are we told that the Word was created?

I don't think anyone would deny that I am human (I exhibit
the attributes of man--I think, I reflect, etc.), but as to
whether I am truthful or a liar, you will have to ask those
who know me. Of course, I like to think of myself as truthful.
I suppose the same is true of you.

I suppose I have problems with your phraseology. How can
Satan be a true god and a false god simultaneously? You say he is a true god because he exists and false when he is worshipped. I would merely say he is truly a god to some, but certainly is not true by the mere fact that he exists. As a matter of fact, he is most aptly described as a liar and the father of the lie. John 8:44.

Proof of the "historical" Jesus...

been wondering about this lately.... what proof (outside the bible, of course) do we have for the "historical jesus"?.

in my earlier days (post jw to "born again christian") i remember reading that the one thing that differentiates christianity vs. "all the others" was that we had secular historical proof that there was a man that was called jesus, who died on a cross and was resurrected.

now i am wondering just what that proof is/was?
