I have to agree with you. It's all about the money and numbers. The WTS doesn't make policy, policy makes up the WTS. I read that some where on this forum.

How Dare The Organization!!!
by minimus inhow dare these people!.
they pretty much force you to pioneer, not pursue a good education, become a "servant" to their whims!.
they don't want you accepting overtime at work because stupid meetings and door knocking is more important.. they accept pedophiles in their midst more than they accept anyone that questions their authority!.

If Your Husband (wife) is Still In - -
by Had To Go indo you vacillate between caring that he/she is still entrapped in this cult and wanting to show them everything you have learned since your awakening and not wanting to rock the boat and therefore just keeping all this knowledge to yourself?
i wonder if it is normal to go back and forth like i do.
one day i want to tell my husband something i may have read here or on another forum and maybe, just maybe i will pique his interest.

My wife is a born-in jw and has not woke up yet. I am slowly fading out. I do hope the SS Botchtower runs out of fuel in the near future. lol

3/15 WT " Do Not Deceive Yourself "- WT's Excuses for No Armageddon
by flipper inwith the new " overlap generation " theory that the wt society is pushing onto rank and file jehovah's witnesses since last year this article i found really heavy hitting in the jw version of the wt.
the wt society is leaking oil in that confidence is low among jw's in not really buying into the " generation overlap " theory as many younger jw's are exiting the organization.
so what better way to try reeling members back in by giving them an article entitled " do not deceive yourself with false reasoning " !

by flipper inour jw contact sent us the " witness only " wt's again and i just had to make a thread on this mind numbing article.
starting on pg.22 in the jan.15th it deals with " coping with discouragement ".
it seems lots of jw's are under intense stress these days ( can you blame them ?

I have been feeling much better since surgery. When I think about being asked regarding time when your in the hospital it just makes you feel more sick.

I had open heart surgery in 2004 on my mitril valve and the elders asked me if had any time to report like 15 minutes. I was shocked to hear that. What do they expect from me, I'm feeling sick and in pain. Get lost please.

I remember the 1975 failed prediction and I read in a later dated magazine that we were blamed for running ahead in expectation of the big A. I became angry and have doubted the WT$ since then. At last nights meeting it has been mentioned again to support your service group, we are all tired but continue to preach more, have a regular weekly family study, etc. It just seems to me the pressure is on.

"Field Service Groups" are more important now than ever before?
by easyreader1970 inthe scare bells are ringing again in the congregations.
this past week, the field service group leader/commander/overlord/whatever made a pretty lengthy announcement that, going forward, the field service groups are going to be of the utmost importance as we wind down towards the end here.
while no indication on when this end might actually be, it was hinted that we might not always have access to the congregation proper and that the few families that are part of the fsg would have to become close knit that they might depend on one another when things get ugly.. i haven't read everything that has passed through the wbts' sphincter lately, but did i miss something?

I never attend the FSG and the elders don't bother me about it. If they do ask why I refuse to attend, I might mention I'm suffering from depression and I'm not interested.

Verifiable Former Bethelite Willing to Answer questions
by Uzzah ini am a former active poster here, former elder, former bethelite and pretty much known by people on the xjw boards since the mid 90's.
gawd that makes me sound old.. i notice that a great deal of uproar is being made by allegations of a hide in the closet alleged bethelite.
to counter the damage caused by this claim, i am happy to address any questions people may have about bethel, protocol, etc.. i was at the canada branch for 11 years, worked in multiple areas including the legal department, service desk and writing dept.
