  Does the NT condemn/outlaw polygamy for christians?

  yes, we all know that, according to the bible, god originally established a union between one man and one woman - adam and eve.

  however, later in the ot we see that polygamy started being practiced and god permitted it and later even gave laws to regulate it.

  so in the ot god does not condemn polygamy and israelites practiced it.. fast foward to the nt.

  Are the trolley dollies* getting any results? Or, is it just another waste of life?

  Went shopping yesterday afternoon, seemed to be only one witness 'on trolley-dolly duty' (and this time he had the trolley facing the oncoming pedestrian traffic, but had actually located it so that people had to walk around it).

  But this (youngish) guy had found a way to keep himself from getting bored. He was really focussed on chatting up a rather pretty young woman -  couldn't tell if she was a JW, but it was clear the trolley could look after itself.

  Where can Gay people get married in the USA?

  and yahweh and jesus don't seem to mind, they arn't hurling fire and brimstone or making it flood everywhere.

  life goes on as normal, people are, "eating and drinking, men are marrying men and women are being given to other women, just as they have been doing in many places on this globe for as long as humans have been on the earth.

  LoveUniHateExams17 minutes ago37 states out of 50 - this progress. It's not ideal but it's good. Despite the religious right being popular in the US, the majority of these states have changed to allow gay marriage. 

  Agreed, considering the political structure of the USA and the religious construction of Americans (example, some surveys suggest that 80% of Americans believe that there is a real supernatural devil) it likely had to be a gradual process.

  My own observations are the same as the posters report on Steve2's thread. They stand or sit around and are clearly bored. I watched some yesterday at my local shopping centre. There were 2 Chinese sisters (I live in a Chinese suburb in Sydney) and one brother sitting on a low wall. The two sisters were having quite a conversation, and the brother was flicking up and down his phone.  They didn't even think about the location of their trolley which, considering the flow of pedestrians was facing the wrong way. In the 15 minutes I observed them, no one spoke to them, or even looked at the trolley display.

  I've also seen them on one of the approaches to Sydney uni. Again they just sit down (these ones brought their own chairs) looking bored. 

  My friend watches a couple of guys** who live in the same apartment block as he does. They seem to be using their garage area as a store/collection point for the trolleys. He's watched different people, who have been given a key to the garage, pull up and get one or two trolleys and then drive off. Later, the trolleys are  returned to the garage.

  Another friend reports about 7 or 8 always clustered in a tourist area in the Sydney CBD. 

  BUT, the big question is: Are they getting any results?  Have those who still attend meetings noticed new ones at the meetings? Are there reports of Bible studies being started with people who have contacted Jw.com.? 

  Or, is all just another YAAAAWWWWWNIIINNG WASTE OF TIME !!!!

  * In OZ, the term 'trolley dollies' is a flippant reference to passenger aircraft, cabin crew and derives from their pushing the food and beverage trolley's up and down the aircraft aisles. To make it a bit more flippant, they are imagined as asking the question, "coffee, tea or me."  

  I suppose we could imagine our contemporary former brothers and sisters, asking something similar. How about, "Would you like a tract or a Watchtower, or me?" (smile)

  Starting two days ago - travel for "Chunyun" the world's largest annual festival

  chunyun - the spring festival (or, the chinese new year festival) is coming soon.

  and all over china and the chinese diaspora people are excited as they prepare for this festival.

  as prosperity has spread through china, more and more people can now afford to travel.

  I'm not sure what an NC-17 rating means V.I., but the Global Times seems to have been attempting to be even-handed, but at the same time, suggesting that these missionaries ran some risks.

  Certainly Muslim governments are likely to agree with Jefferson and will view such missionary work, as:

  " a national aggression on our peace and faith."

  And heads will eventually roll!
