Thankfully, I own the purple 1969 version of this book. It has truly been instrumental. The first edition purple one is the one to get, but you should own both of them. Rarely does one come up for sale (an actual bidding auction versus inflated pay it now) on ebay, and when it does, expect to pay $75 or so. However, I just checked abebooks.com and they had two purple copies for under $20. Go get em!
