i've known about it since the schedule went up on the notice board, and i started thinking how i could get out of it.

Does Voice Coaching really work?

i do remember how my voice sounded in my younger years.

that voice is rusty and dissappeared through many years.

have any of you had voice lessons, and does it really work?.

Hermain Cain needs more than lessons from the TMS. He doesn't even know how to lie like a good politician.

Thanks, White Dove, and Jeff. Just looking for something to do in my retirement years. I know the Soc will have other plans for me, but, I do plan to enjoy my retirement, and not slave for another company.

Disfellowshipping Rescinded!

has anyone been successful in getting their disfellowshipping rescinded?

i specifically do not mean getting reinstated.

i want to know if anyone that was disfellowshipped was able to officially and through the congregation and/or the organization have their status as a "disfellowshipped person" changed without getting "reinstated" through the normal procedures?.

Yes, I almost had seen that happen. This was when a brother moved into our territory, and he mentioned some things about his committee case. Seems that they DF'd him based on a verbal expression, but they should of gotten it in writting. The CO contacted the branch and it almost got rescinded. The problem is that new events didn't help this guy out. But, it was going to be rescinded if this brother behaved.

in the dec.15th jw only version in an article titled " do not let illness rob you of joy " it promotes being a martyr in jehovah's witnesses preaching door to door in spite of debilitating and often life threatening illnesses .

ask yourself if jesus would have stood with a whip to the back of his disciples if they had these illnesses or medical conditions ??.

under the subheading entitled " they keep preaching despite chronic illness " with pictures of these alleged sick people sharing how they " sacrifice " to spread the wt society's message i will share the quotes with my takes.. izabella who suffers depression states, " i like the door to door ministry , but when i am not feeling up to it , i engage in telephone witnessing.

You have to rebel to get some fun out of this ORG. I pioneered, but I did have good food, a good watch, car, camera, Coloured TV. Cable TV.

Good shoes, and when my health got bad, I limited myself. I did feel the guilt, but that went away when I saw how the Bethelites lived. I got to see their attitudes about work and FS, and how some didn't deny themselves nice trips, cars, clothing, good shoes, and technology.

I've heard it all. The list goes on for 40 years. In order to increase your field service you had to deny yourself of:

Cameras, good watches, getting married, nice appartment, good healthy food, furniture, colour tv, sports, recreation, health.....etc

Yes, there are some successful appeals, I have also served on an appeal committee.

It depends on the brothers serving on the Appeal Committe though. Some will support the Elder body, before extending further mercy to the one on the hot seat. You could demand a non biased, totally new committee from the branch. These ones don't know the local Elders and have to look at the matter from a fresh perspective. However, this is not openly advertised.

Not sure if you mean, Appealled, and the DF was null and void.

If this is what you wanted, yes, I have seen a few of those.

how many are there on this board that are also still in the society, especially acting in a position of leadership?

i think it's pretty funny they always talked about how "jehovah would root out the wickedness" yet theres people on here getting invites to "zone visits" that many other blind and faithful people weren't invited to.. .

if any of you are on your way out and have the ability to give a talk before you go, you should cratifly morph a talk into discussion about the origins of the society, by the time its obvious what you're doing you will have given 100-150 people seeds of doubt before they yank you off the stage, and the fact that they would be physically escorting you off the stage when you were simply talking about the "founder" of the society should be alarming and suspicious enough to those watching.. .

In our area, we are taking no very seriously. Canada is trying to provide a new message to the people. They want to appear respectable. We are told not to argue, remain respectful and kind.
