How many double agents are there?

How many are there on this board that are also still in the society, especially acting in a position of leadership? I think it's pretty funny they always talked about how "Jehovah would root out the wickedness" yet theres people on here getting invites to "zone visits" that many other blind and faithful people weren't invited to.

If any of you are on your way out and have the ability to give a talk before you go, you should cratifly morph a talk into discussion about the origins of the society, by the time its obvious what you're doing you will have given 100-150 people seeds of doubt before they yank you off the stage, and the fact that they would be physically escorting you off the stage when you were simply talking about the "founder" of the society should be alarming and suspicious enough to those watching.

Also, you could create a "non-threatening" tract about some of the major red herrings of the societies founding, and place it on everyones vehicle during a meeting. You would want to place it in such a way that they wouldnt notice it till they got home, since if one person finds it on their car and realizes what it is, they will run back in shrieking about apostate literature on all the cars and the elders will go out and collect it to the "sheep" dont have to see.

Basically, find a way to place it so that its discovered when they get home, not in the parking lot, by then they can read it without worrying about someone seeing them do it.

I would say that our numbers are like the numbers of the sands of the seas, and double it.

I was DF'd two years ago.

For the last 5 or 6 years I was an elder I quit giving talks on doctrinal matters which I disagreed and seriously edited my other meeting parts and comments.

Oddly, no one seemed to notice. If they did no one said a thing. (I had one or more parts on EVERY meeting and gave public talks at least once a month all over SoCal for twenty years.)

After over 1/2 a decade of being a "double agent" (See my Moniker) I finally couldn't take it any longer. So I called my brother elders, guys that had been my "BFFs" for 15-20 years and said we needed to talk. It took them less than 15 minutes to decided to disfellowship me. Bad idea, talking to them that is!

My advice to any and all that are waking up and want to leave: Never, ever confide anything to another elder no matter how long you've known them, no matter close you think you are or how good a friend or family member they are or how much you think you can trust them. You can only trust them to remain Captive to the Concept. You are now the enemy.

Best wishes and be true to your self, you're real, authentic self.

The term Double Agent is probably the best description.

By and large, these people would prefer to never enter a Kingdom Hall, ever again.

They are held hostage by the very real fear of losing their families, friends and even their financial security.

leavingwt: So true, I've lost 1/2 my family (that part that are JWs) and all of my so-called "friends" that are "sticking closer than a brother". Fortunately I've still got most of my financial assets intact.

Fear of losing friends and family (and even fear of being killed) never stopped Jesus, Paul, the apostles or any other 1st century disciple from openly declaring their faith and their beliefs.

So what does that say about some of the people posting on this thread?

    Interesting..

You compare the WBT$ to Pharasies and ancient blood thirsty pagans..

Most of us would have to agree with you..

Teary....I don't think anyone here is claiming to be Jesus or an apostle...so I'm not sure how you can expect anyone to compare themselves to them.

And what it says about the people posting here is that they are being held hostage by a publishing company...they have a choice...leave and loose all, or stay and loose self....poor buggers....that sucks and so does your comment.

Ah, that's assuming that 'he' ever actually existed...
