Yes, Zid. It seems to be heading in that direction.

I remember when it was only the Service Committee (Service, Secretary, and CO-Ordinator Overseers) that approved Reg Pioneers. They made their recommendations known to the Body of Elders, and here is where the fun began. Some Elders on the Body would be jealous because their kids weren't pioneering, or were opposed to it. Some had such high expectations for them, and demands. One demand was to impose a rule on the publisher to Auxilliary Pioneer for at least 6 months first. The Org book, or Pioneer Application form made no such demands. I can only imagine now just how difficult it will become. The pioneers may just pack it in, and catch that bus destined for University. Ooops, now he/she really doesn't qualify.

Welcome, Got....
I do want to thank the people on this site who posted this letter to prepare us for this .
Billy is right though. This is not as exciting as the one about eliminating the bookstudy meeting. Do you remember that one?
It started "Well brothers, just because the times are tough, we do not expect to add you any other burdens, so we are cancelling the Weekly Bookstudy. But, not yet, wait till next September"
Can you imagine the apostles making that decision in the first century? "Hey brothers, we don't want to add any other burdens to you, and we will not be imposing this circumcision on you, ok. But, can you just put up with it, till next September? Be a good sport now and come forward, as I sharpen my flint knife."

They don't taste much like the good old calorie rich foods, though.

I think, Wannabefree, has a point. Those Kangaroos can kick, and they have boxing skills as well. They also have stomach pouches that can store so many floating devices.

Genesis 6:4 - where did the Giants come from if they were wiped out by the flood?
by BroMac in(genesis 6:1-4) 6 now it came about that when men started to grow in numbers on the surface of the ground and daughters were born to them, 2 then the sons of the [true] god began to notice the daughters of men, that they were good-looking; and they went taking wives for themselves, namely, all whom they chose.
3 after that jehovah said: my spirit shall not act toward man indefinitely in that he is also flesh.
accordingly his days shall amount to a hundred and twenty years.

Do COs have a cushy life?
by A question indo cos (and dos) have a cushy life in comparison with other jws, or others in fulltime service?.
it could be said that they do, since they have an apartment provided for them, meals out, green handshakes, and invites to social gatherings.
it could also be said that they do not, since they may have to live in a different house every week, accept whatever food they're given, and they have a lot more meetings than the average jw.. .

It's not what I would call a cushy life. I have close friends in the Circuit Work. I have heard them describe some horror stories to me. Some have invested their personal resouces (cash) to serve in this capacity. Some come from wealth families, and some have worked at successful businesses before they entered this work. Some don't even put in any expenses forward with congregations that are having financial problems.
There are some CO's that are Jerks, and some really giving, kind nice fella's. I also admire their wives, at least I could say some of their wives.
When they leave that work, they really don't have much to retire on. In most of the congregations I have been in, we have put the CO family in basement appt's in KH's Not a pleasant place to live.
