  i meet a 6 years baptised jw girl.

  we planned to marry here in philippines ( no divorce here }.

  judge told me he can do the marriage so we livived together to be married.

  Jgnat is correct. Your divorce must be a scriptural one. For example, your X must be guilty of committing adultery.

  Those pledges of faithfulness are meant to be applied in countries where there is absolutely no hope of getting a divorce. Not to be applied in countries that have time(1 year) limitations.

  It is no good to appeal if you are in violation of the rules. The decision of the Elders will still stand. An appeal would work if you suspect that the Elders made a bad judgement.

  Ha, Ha, Outlaw. Where do you get those photo's?

  This article reminds me of this guy that doesn't like to dance at our social gatherings. He just sits there at the table and plays solitare. I guess his table is gonna get bigger. But not me, I will continue dancing, and I'm gonna engage in empty speeches when I dance, too. I'm gonna talk about how empty my bank account is after that new donation arrangement.

  just read a post on jwsurvey about the new donation arrangement.

  congregations are to pledge a monthly amount to be sent to the society to fund the building of assembly halls and kingdom halls.

  congregations who already have a loan from the society will no longer have to pay back the loan but the amount pledged should not be less than the current monthly repayments to the society.

  I don't see this as a Tithing (10%) commitment. I dont beleive that an Elder will sit with anyone and discuss finances with families. Our cong stands to benefit from this arrangement. We get to wipe out close to a million dollars of mortgage. There was 60 % in our cong that weren't making contributions. They still aren't.

  I think that those that are mortgage free will have a beef with this. But, are we really mortgage free? Usually, when the mortgage is paid off, the taxes, and maintenance goes up. I know that we are tax exempt, but, for what reason? It's a Charity status. Since our mortgage was to last 15 yrs, that would of taken us to 2029. Maybe Armageddon will kick in by then
