Just had a blow up with jw mom and she said the bible referenced angels being called gods, it that true?
by Question_Mans_interpretation inlong story short my mom was acting weird, snubbing me, when i tried bringing her grandkids to see her, so i tried again and this time i just went up and hugged her since she wouldn't hug me or acknowledge any affection.
when i released her i immediately saw her annoyed look and asked what?
bang, she unleashes a floodgate of how she's still mad at me for going to another church that believes the trinity.

It's great that you bring your children to your mom. The GB has tried to stop that from happening while they are trying to control those who have DA, or Df'd. They use the term Family Business, but don't offer any information on how to apply it. As far as the subject of gods are concerned, throughout history mankind has beleived in many gods. Jesus is also referenced as a god in the scriptures. But, this is not worth arguing about when family is involved. I know of some JW grandparents that miss out on seeing their grandchildren totally just because of arguments like this. When you visit with the children leave your beleifs behind, and when your mom brings up the past, just tell her to try and forgive the past, and let's work towards the future. -

There will be some experiences mentioned about..oh yes, about that Barber that never wore a mack. But now, he has accepted the truth, and he wears a mack proudly. He attends the congregation meetings down in Penny Lane, He also participates in the Public Witnessing at Strawberry Fields. The people don't take anything real in Strawberry Fields, though. Some encouragement is given to overlook all that negative talk going on in the congregations. From now on it will not be tolerated when you call the Elders. a "Nowhere Man" or " Fool on the Hill" -

Is it common for old men to marry young JW?
by adjusted knowledge ini left in the 90's and marriage partners were similar in age at my former congregation.
i ran into a former jw friend from my childhood.
i haven't seen him in 15 years.

I think that marrying one wife is enough. But I think that it should be a punishment and not as a blessing. Something like the judge sentences you for a crime, and decides that you messed up so here is your punishment, "Bang", you are now married. -

Yes, it's pretty common. You don't have to die a sacrificial death in this faith to marry a young virgin, but you could only marry one. -

The "great crowd" before 1935 and since
by Doug Mason inwhat was the seismic shift in thinking that rutherford required when he created the great multitude in 1935?
when did the great multitude, or the great crowd as it is now known, become jehovahs witnesses?.

21 Years as an Elder, 5 as an MS, I will never be that guy again.
by James Jack ini was deleted as the cobe after i let my adult child move back home and he admitted that he fornicated under my roof while my wife and i where away on a rbc project.
of course the elder mode in me kicked him out of the house.. the elders moved quickly to remove me because i was too involved in "theocractic activities", i had neglected my adult son.. i accepted this primarily because i didn't want to serve with a boe that did not want me.
i was devastated however because it was the only life i knew.

Elder deletions are inconsistent all over this world that we live in. I've heard of some families where three out of five kids left the faith under the Elders roof, and they kept the Elder. I've heard that one Elder had a daughter who wore questionable clothing styles, and he got deleted. It depends on the CO and the BOE that could be influenced. The CO has a great deal of power. You are hurting right now, but don't worry. It won't be long before you realize that the title really means nothing. There are probably many on here that has suffered this type of injustice, including myself. After 2 years I felt better and more free. You now have your life back, and you don't have to please anyone. When I lost my position as Elder, My wife and I poured ourselves into our jobs. As a result we have good pensions, and we have achieved a good legacy. We also have the respect of the congregation. Don't walk with your head down low. You served for 21 years. Congratulations. You are still better than a 15 year Elder. -
