Transparency. That would be great, and an eye opener. In Canada we are passing Legislation to open up the books on Unions, The Unions are battling like Demons to maintain their silence, but it will happen. I hope it happens to the WT society.

Yes, the Branch has inherited the Kingdom. Don't know how long it will last, though.

I agree with everyone who has commented. It's a system that provides free accommodations for Bethelites, CO's, etc. It's really a way not to drain the WWW funds for caring for these necessities.

I do agree much that the WT is out to grab every dime, and I think that they are desperate in doing this. The WT know very well just how much money is sitting in the various congregation accounts. They take this money because they can do it. Shame on us for thinking that our donations would be protected, and safe in a congregation acct But, this can only last so long. Eventually, and it is happening right now. Some of JW's are getting smarter with their contributions. There are many cong's that are missing their deadlines for the monthly pledges. Some have reviewed, and are reducing their monthly donations. Eventually this will happen at the Circuit level, nomatter what tricks the WT try to pull off. While some realisticly hold back, expect more sermons on giving. The more they cry for money, the more they exposed themselves.

half of our congregation goes there to work out because of the good pool facilities and prices, and the other half think that it's wrong due to it's old charter.

but no one is enforcing the wrong or right of it.

i'd be interested in knowing how this is being applied worldwide.

The Elders are Coming Help!

so the elders keep bugging me and pestering me about having a meeting with them to "introduce me to my new congregation" for some reason (do any ex elders know what that even means??).

i keep postponing and making excuses and they are getting more and more aggressive.

i finally agreed for them to come over today, but really don't want to..should i hide from them again?

You do what they do on Halloween. Turn the lights out, and remain silent. Then they'll go on to trick or treat someone else.

But, usually when you tell them not to come should work.

OMG, We have some in our cong that are instructors, and seniors that are members because of the good senior rates, and it's in walking distance. The only complainer is a rebellious bearded guy that wants justice.

I didn't know that half of my cong are appostates.
