The GT will involve more than persecution of others. It will affect how we live. Just look at Somali, Africa...borders along Kenya. There is a great deal of starvation going on in this country right now. There are wars in their country, and no way of delivering the food to them. So, the Somalies have to travel to Kenya to survive. The GT, will have elements of human cruelty, but, most of all it will engulf us in famine, war, sickness, and lack of leadership by our governments. Finding a JW to torture will be last on their minds.

Well, the GT will mean something diferent dependent on where you live, of course. The account says in Rev that most of the beasts as represented as governments will exist down to the very end. So some order will still be in effect. But, having morbid thoughts about this is no good. I had those thoughts many years ago. Then I realized that God would not be so cruel to his servants. He didn't let the Israelites see the Egyptians die in the sea. It says they were covered up by the waters. Jehovah hates violence. Watch the Big Bang Theory, or other sitcoms to think about more upbeat funny things.

Can't sleep... Feel so alone!

sorry, i am just feeling alone and needed to vent..... i hate the fact that i allow jws to control me for so long and now i have no friends!

i mean, i do have a few, but at moments like this when my head is spinning like a thousand miles per hour, there is noone i can call and trust and talk to.... my friends all have their lives, and the few that i can call, i am afraid to do so... again, i know i said this before, but jw ruined my social skills... .

i want to scream!!!

Guitar skills!

i never really liked any kingdom melody they played at the kh, but i found this video of a kid who makes these songs sound pretty cool.

he plays them on an electric distorted guitar.

(the devil's instrument...the one he uses in heavy metal)).

He is great on the guitar. I really like his style of jazzing up those songs. But, do you know who is really great at jazzing up those KM songs on the Piano? David Splane. That's right. You read his name right. He played piano in our KH in 70's to replace a sister who was sick during the evening of a meeting. We couldn't believe how his style, and twist made those songs alive. It's something that he doesn't even talk about. But, he is really a gifted musician.

i remember being in my dub uncles friends car when e,w & f came on and he goes "don't let your unc know you heard this song".

i didn't ask why at the time, but then some years later i hear again that dubs have something against e, w & f. (not that they don't have something against anyone who isn't one of them) but what went on between the two groups?

No, No, you have it all wrong. It was a competition thing. One of their songs started with the lyrics, "Do you remember, the very day of September?"

Well, think of it. What else begins with September? That's right, the new Service year. How dare EWF take that away. It's a copywright issue.

I made the same conclusion about the late Brother Franz. His disfellowshipping was unfair. He stayed on as long as he could.

He was an incredible man. Some here miss out on the purpose of this site. It's all about freedom to express, vent, and take about what is on our minds. We shouldn't pass judgement on one another.

I'm new here..... Studying with the Witnesses

hi- i just wanted to say that i have been checking the website out for a few weeks and have read some horror stories and some sad ones.

but i have been studying with witnessess for about six months and can't help but feel that they're completely sincere and maybe even, the true religion.

i love the watchtower and awake and to me, none of that seems crazy.
