disfellowshipping
by Sabin inif disfellowshipping was to be done away with, aside from the authorities that should be informed of child abuse so it may be dealt with legally, how should these one`s be dealt with within the congregations?.

SING NO SAD SONGS FOR EX-BETHELITES
by steve2 inwhat happens to ex-bethelites is really of no concern to the gb.
and equally no concern to us as ex-jws or those who question jw organization.. layoffs have happened at headquarters and elsewhere for many, many years - although the scale this time is larger than previously, being an all time high: 1,600. .
for the record, we should spare any sympathy/empathy for those who are about to sent packing this time.

When I was much younger, I remember the Meetings held at the DA's for Bethel service. I remember feeling a sense that I should stay away from that door. I'm so happy that I listened to my feelings back then. Now, I'm retired, with a pension, and have a good life. I remember getting judged from Bethelites for my lifestyle. Once a Bethelite/Missionary told me that I worshipped a Golden Calf. I know there are good people at Bethel. But, the GB should be realistic about it's security -

Hemoglobin Infusion??
by Vetro ini just got the new document about blood fractions from the wt, they will allow you to choose hemoglobin, but apparently not packed red blood cells, but in the medical journal i see nothing about hemoglobin infusions, is this even possible or just more bullshit from the wt?

The link provided from Secret Slave above gives a good explanation.
It is the oxygen carrying component of RBCs. Oxygen binds to hemoglobin with high affinity in an oxygen-rich environment and leaves hemoglobin in an environment where there is not enough oxygen.
You see whole blood consists of different components. One of these components has H20 (water) in it. Are you going to deprive yourself of water in an operation because it is a component of the blood cells? That is the rationale behind the acceptance of the various components

What makes WT think they can reassign Bethel volunteers to be Regular Pioneers.
by Zoos inwhen the gb cuts loose 1600 volunteers, what makes them think they can continue telling them how they will spend their time?
i've read on many of these threads that the 1600 will be reassigned.
what, are they still under some sort of contract?.

They won't qualify for Unemployment Ins, but Welfare will help them -

Being sent off as Reg Pion's is really a good one. It gives the impression to those on the outside, that these guys need financial help. The cong's are already told to help out pion's, feed them, find them work, shelter, encouragment etc. Don't forget the WWW. It's a lot more dignified than being classified as a Layed off Bethel worker. -

Any thoughts on the real reasons for droppng the 'school"
by sparrowdown inmy thoughts are.
1. they want to avoid being made to comply with any laws that come with anything classed as a "school" especially a school with children enrolled.. 2. the mid-week meeting has been dying in the ass for years and needs a revival.
i predict happy -clappy-sing-a-longs to be included in the program.. anyone else have any thoughts ??

Another reason for dropping that school is because no one could explain that, "Generation", thing. The GB body decided to quit while ahead, before someone asked the question, "What is a Householder? Is it someone who holds a house? Why are Householders, females? -

Calm Down Everybody, We Will Know Soon Enough
by OnTheWayOut inseriously, they will change the midweek meeting ever so slightly.
it is just repackaging of the same old stuff.seriously, we don't know if construction is halted for days, weeks, months, forever, or what.. we don't know if new kingdom halls will still go up, old kingdom halls will be closed and sold.
they have laid off bethelites before and they will lay them off some more.

I speculate that the TMS is not cancelled. I believe that it will be transferred to a different night. Like Family Worship night. There you have it. Now each parent is the TMS councillor, and gets to practice their skills on thier kids. -

I would say the reason for rebranding the school is because of the dropouts. You had students in that school that lasted longer than a person who had to go to school to become a Dr. The students had worked on every counsel point with flying colours, only to find themselves being tested again with a failing mark from the Counselor. It was the Merry-go-round that lasted for decades. It started as a hidden agenda to allow women to teach in the congregation then ended with everyone crying, "Enough already".
