  our kingdom hall was in a boring town of 30,000 people so to spice things up me and some special pioneers living with us decided to have a fancy dress up party!

  what could go wrong?

  nice clean fun, and no booze (oh crap!).

  If we watched a whole drama with Hezekiah and soldiers wearing armor and swords, why would it be unacceptable when dressing up? What about Peter cutting off that soldiers ear? What did he use? A fishing rod?

  Wow, this is surely a long discussion. Let me join in. The Trinity never was accepted by Polycarp one of the early Church Leaders. He was closely associated with John the Apostle. Later on, Tertullion tried to make a case for introducing the Greek Trinity concept, but it never was accepted until the 3rd century. It even had some resistance then at that Council meeting with Constantine. Would you accept any decision that Constantine introduced. If you celebrate Christmas and believe that Jesus was born on Dec 25th you can say that you are a believer of Contantine.

  Kingdom Halls open to hurricane flood victims??

  there are other threads dealing with jws actions, or non-actions in response to the houston flooding.

  i started this thread to find out specifically if kingdom halls, or assembly halls are being used to help victims.

  not just other jws, but innocent victims of all walks: men, women, children & pets.

  july 17, 2017 the supreme court of russia has missed the last chance to restore law and justice for the 175,000 russian citizens professing the religion of jehovah's witnesses.

  it took less than an hour of the meeting a panel of three supreme court judges, to leave unchanged the decision taken earlier by the judge yuri ivanenko, the liquidation and ban any and all registered organizations of the religion.since there is no more effective domestic remedies, the believers will appeal to the european court of human rights and other international organizations.. *note: as reported by the jworg source, jw-russia.org.
