And baltar447 I think that is probably the biggest consideration.

just had a brain-passing-of-wind
by therevealer inthe main reason for the constant push to engage in the field service is because of the scriptural command.
the reason for a field service report is so that the work can be accomplished in an organized manner.
if this were in any way true then what is the reason for reducing the minimum report to 15 minutes for the elderly.

But of course the parable that they used in support of that was found to "have nothing to do with that" or some such. I just loved that article and should look it up and post it. The problem is/was that they tied it in with the finalizing of the 144,000 which came to be problematic with the increase of the partakers.

Also of course since they base their number of adherents on the report it would help a bit there as well. But for me it just emphasises the constant push for preaching and door to door in particular in spite of the total failure regarding the purpose they claim suggests an ulterior motive. Control is one thing that is accomplished. Are there others?

Made up field service experience at yesterday's Public Talk
by RULES & REGULATIONS inremember the made up stories of witnesses in djibouti, africa where they had to walk 2 days in alligator infested waters with no shoes in the blazing sun to attend the meetings?
they made it to the meetings in these terrible conditions.. talk about made up stories!
here is a field service experience that was told at yesterday's public talk which would fall into the made up stories!.

Bangalore - ain't computers and their ability and speed to search great. But it raises the question, why don't they use them so as to keep more accuracy in their "stories"?

The GB really do not want us to think for ourselves Mar 15th WT
by life is to short ini know that some of you might think that i really should be reading the wt but with a husband still in and being that i am still very tied to the religion though him i want to know what is up with them in some ways.. the march 15th wt made me feel sick.
on page 5 it was talking about how we need to wait on jehovah.
it was really the same old stuff but i feel with a different twist.

I can not say that I ever knew anyone who exuded the notion of how wonderful the pioneering was. A challenge, determined to make it work, yes but not enjoyable. I always felt sympathy for the ones who chose for one reason or another to do it when they were the lone pioneer, always begging ones to accompany them. Yuk, Yuk, Yuk.

a bit off subject but can there possibly be a more pathetic way to use a big chunk of life than pioneering. what is the purpose. what is achieved. makes me sad for these deluded people.

Ok , this Trinity Doctrine is messing me up
by KristiKay insome of you may know, i've been meeting with a jw lady, for a "bible" study (i hate calling it that).
i've been trying to end it pretty much since.
i've gotten more insight on their religion...i've blantently said that i don't like the "governing body", i don't agree with the blood doctrine, can't.

Yes designs. I am aware of all those facts. But since I have woken up I see all the problems I missed before. All I am saying here is how can they say jesus is "a god" and an angel. And the Aid book is old light, with Ray Franz tainting purity. Haha

If witnesses insist that jesus is "a" god *** Bible Citations ***
(John 1:1) In [the] beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god.can they rightly say that he is an angel even if it is arch angel??

The April 2011 Awake
by Yan Bibiyan inthe new asleep is available on jw.org in its full color pdf glory.. i only glanced trough...seems pretty blah....except for the opening article and the pictures in particular.. the article addresses parents grieving to the loss of a small child due to an infectious disease.
an unimaginable situation for any parent (myself included)!.
the wt seems to show the natural reaction to the loss of a child and the expected grieving in a way that any normal parent would react.. however, it stood out in a stark contrast to the 1994 awake, where children lost to a stupid misunderstood and missaplied belief were lined up all smiling and their parents commended for the very actions that cut the life of their own children short!!.

Yan Bibiyan - Ya I saw that and started a thread before I saw this. What a bunch of goof balls. Do they really want to raise that issue?
