The only point they really want to make is for the converts to forget how much happier they were before they were recruited into the cult.
I agree totally with Billy

And it has always been that if a person ignores or refuses requests to attend a meeting with the body of elders that they will be "judged" in abstension, no requirement to pass on the decision to the "victim". And when such a situation happens the announcement at the hall can go almost unnoticed and the "innocent party" might never know.
So the "no judicial meeting" isn't really accurate, it was just a meeting that the person wasn't at.

Did God know Adam and Eve will Sin? - JW perspective
by bioflex ini read about this topic sometime ago in one awake mag (cant rememer which one).
and from the jw perspective, he didnt know which means it took him by suprise or which makes it seem god is not as almighty as we would believe.
this is their reasoning.. http://www.watchtower.org/e/20110101a/article_01.htm.

Can you be a JW in good standing and NOT go door to door?
by Terry inthe 2nd president of the watchtower bible and tract society, j.f.rutherford was criticised by some elders in the (then) independant congregations for urging members to go door to door while neglecting to do so himself.
rutherford responded:.
frequently some elder says: the president of the society does not go from house to house selling books.

3rdgen - 15 minutes is reserved only for those that because of age, illness or some special circumstance cannot do more. And I think it shows the importance of doing some form of "preaching".
Time on a slip is required for membership in the organization that can ensure your salvation. And said salvation is achieved by that effort whatever it is.
But I can tell you from experience that it depends on who you are, where you are (the congregation you attend) and a few other miscellaneous criteria as to the answer to the question posed.

from the March 1st tower 2012 - Just sayin
Who Fit the Pattern Today? "The church's failure to take preaching and teaching seriously is one reason for the general spiritualmalaise of today," writes Anglican priest DavidWatson.
In his bookWhy Are the Catholics Leaving? Jose Luis Perez Guadalupe wrote about the activities of Evangelicals, Adventists, and others and observed that "they do
not go from house to house." Regarding Jehovah's Witnesses, he wrote: "They go systematically fromhouse to house." -

Elder father sent me an email about Feb 2012 WT - my resposne
by TheStumbler ini'm not sure if any of you will remember but i posted on here six months ago about a correspondence i was having with my dad, an elder, about who would die in armageddon.
i was asking some tough questions about children being killed in armageddon and i could tell he uncomfortable with the answers he was giving.. i drafted an email in resposne to his email but in the end i decided not to send it in the interest of maintaining friendly relations.. .
last week, out of the blue, my dad sent an email link to the february 2012 watchtower article about armageddon and said it would answer some of my questions.. here is my response which is a critique of the feb 2012 wt article and some of the broader ethics concerning 'armageddon'.

Probably this is off topic to some extent, but for me this is one of the reasons that the fact that the witnesses have debunked the hell fire doctrine is no biggy. They debunk the hell fire doctrine in large part because it paints god as overly cruel. But killing off billions because they didn't respond in a positive way to a message at the door or worse yet were never presented the message in the first place.

WTS Speaks out of Both Sides of Their Mouth
by blondie inremember when the wts said this:.
17 keep on the watch ***.
nevertheless, the bible does not state that jehovah will wait until every individual on earth has received a personal witness.

making every effort to contact each occupant, Not even just every home but each occupant. But what about success rate. This from their 2012 examining the scriptures daily suggests not so much:
those who truly make the Bible their guide are a minority-only about 0.1 percent of the earth's population. (from second paragraph on forward page)
But I guess if they just keep on keepin on, who knows where it will lead. Hundred years in and still 99.9% of earth's population can't see the logic to any of it. But just give them a couple more overlapping generations and see where it goes

from Examining the Scriptures Daily foreward and second paragraph
by therevealer inhowever, not everyone feels the way you do.
in fact, those who truly make the bible their guide are.
a minority-only about 0.1 percent of the earth's population.. isn't this a declaration of the "failure" of their declaring the good news bullshyte?

Are you saying that they are doing just fine then The Quiet One??? This looks more like a large victory for Satan. Jehovah/god 0.1%. Satan 99.9%. that is one awful narrow gate!!
