Disillusioned Lost-Lamb - I second, third and fourth that post. And further if you come on down before you got that education and show extraordinary suck up manship we might even send you to get said education. Oh, and we will pay for it. Just no free air conditioning. That's still on your dime.

Higher Education Defined
by lastchance inin a new letter to all b.o.e., higher education has been defined as any education that leads to a bachelor's degree, or to postgraduate studies for careers in medicine, law, engineering and so forth.
the letter is to be used to determine if an elder, ministerial servant or pioneer still qualify if they or someone in there family, that they care for, is pursuing higher education.. so getting your associates must be fine then?.

I can only say "right back at ya". He out and out offended me to my face so to speak and then didn't have the balls to respond to my reply.

Is the Watchtower shy about repeating their new "generation" teaching?
by slimboyfat inas i recall in the 1980s talks and watchtower literature, magazines and books were always talking about the "generation" teaching and how it proved armageddon was going to come any day now.. but am i correct in thinking they have only actually mentioned the new "overlapping generations" teaching once or twice in the literature?
why are they so shy about talking about their great new interpretation?
it's almost enough to make you suspect they are a embarrassed about it.. mention it once or twice, don't dwell on it, hope everyone just accepts it, and don't bring it up again.

gonna take a chance at offending djeggnog again.
I was making a comment based on my experience. I was an elder for many years and I can "guarantee" that there is nothing to do with some holy spirit involvement in that process. As such I have no inclination to believe that there is in the selection (imaginary) of annointed either. You suggest that you are offended by my question (not directed at you) and then you type this That you were gathered as one of the Jesus' "other sheep" to worship and praise God in everything you do does not suggest that an error was made should you deflect and decide to go back to the things you had supposedly left behind -- like the dog that has returned to its own vomit, and the hog that had been bathed clean to return to rolling in the mud again -- but only that you had exercised your own free will to do what you felt like doing, to do what things you wanted to do, and having free will gives you the choice to do what you want.
Look: Don't be silly! No one is responsible for the choices that someone else makes. Not your parents, not some other adult, and certainly not Jehovah or Jesus. No one is responsible for the choices that you have made. You are responsible for the exercise of your own free will. If you want to apportion error, the error would be yours, no one else's.
who do you think you are!! I would like to say what I think of you since reading that, but will refrain.

If the annointed are chosen, and that by none other than (jehovah or jesus?) and then fall away/are disfellowshipped, does this not suggest that an error was made in their choosing? And yes I realize there are precedents, but still.

More new watchtower language. Instead of new light, the light getting brighter, etc., we now find "This explanation updates the information discussed" in whatever publication the previous bullshite was in. The problem is that, truth be told, that former information had updated info that was former to it which info had updated, and on and on ad nauseam.

7 remaining organized for survival into the millennium ***.
7 only jehovah's witnesses, those of the anointed remnant and the "great crowd," as a united organization under the protection of the supreme organizer, have any scriptural hope of surviving the impending end of this doomed system dominated by satan the devil..

refreshing for a new day. Does anyone agree that the 0.1 percent comment is dumb on their part?
Also thanks to transhuman68

thanks for the added references. For me making that claim or suggesting that to be truth and then to print this in the examining the scriptures daily "However, not everyone feels the way you do. In fact, those who truly make the Bible their guide are a minority-only about 0.1 percent of the earth's
population." says a lot about their arrogance. They have the "rights" to make the good news known, and life is dependant on our hearing it from "them" and responding to it. And look at their success rate - 0.1 percent. And herein lies my reason for accumulating the references that prove that they claim only they have the persons in their kingdom halls that will have life. My older brother struggles with this, not wanting to admit they make this claim. He prefers to use the "we just don't know who will yet respond". I think it is just to hard to except that their claim allows for 7,000,000,000 to bite the dust at the big A -

4/15 WT - WTS Pridefully says they can " Guide " JW's past "Armageddon "
by flipper inthis thread is for everybody and everybody is welcome to comment on it .
however i'm going to direct my thoughts and comments in this initial post to lurking jehovah's witnesses who may read on this board and may be sitting on the fence pondering on whether to stay in the jehovah's witnesses organization.
also to newer members who may have joined the board.. in this latest 4/15 wt in the article , " jehovah knows how to deliver his people " it conveys the thought that only the wt society ( through god's help ) will be guiding any jw's through the alleged " armageddon " considered god's war against the wicked.
