  we are made in god's image and he is a person, not just some invisible, omnipresent force.

  here is some more research for those who love to ask questions yet won't do the digging.. the bible consistently portrays god as a passionate individual, whose inner experiences of love, compassion, grief, delight, joy, peace, anguish, and moral outrage at atrocity dwarf ours in the extreme.

  the bible makes no apology for this, but rather exults in the living one, in contrast to the dead and lifeless idols that surrounded its writers.. one scholar put it thus:.

  Actually, the basis for Judgement is that the Light has come into the world, but men have loved the darkness rather than the Light.

  Why?

  because their works were wicked and they did NOT want to be corrected.

  John 3:19-21

  So, depending on how YOU treat the Light when he comes to OPENLY EXPOSE your nakedness before ALL onlookers like he did the Pharisees... that is how you will be judged.

  Each man's 'work' depends on what 'work' they did for or AGAINST the Light. A man's righteousness comes from FAITH. he who has true faith in Jah'shua ... will have everlasting life. They are not to be judged becaused they passed over from "death to life."

  Need Help RE: Daniel 1:1, 2:1...

  can anyone tell me why the society has put their own bent on daniel 1:1 & 2:1?

  the only decent reference why, is in the 1946 equipped book.. is it only cos the wt hasn't realised that daniel was using the assession system at dan 1:1 (and the rest of his book) and jeremiah was using the non-assession at jer.

  25:1 (and the rest of his letter)??.

  1. a well-known american president who emancipated the slaves and made a famous speech at gettysburg once said something nice about the bible.

  what a fine attitude!

  today, millions find true peace of mind and spiritual happiness in the pages of that historical, holy book.

  This scripture does NOT say the "Bible is God's word."

  Every book of the Bible is a "perfect present...from the Father of the celestial lights." (James 1:17)

  Babies are innocent. Good men and women whose only sin is being the wrong nationality, are innocent.

  Uh, sure..

  First .. the 'sin' was NOT their "nationality" for God is not partial. It was their spirit that was "bad." That was the 'sin.'

  but then how do you explian Esau being "bad FROM THE WOMB?"

  although YOU "see" babies as innocent.. you can only see their "flesh" NOT their 'spirit.' Therefore you are blinded as to whether a 'baby' really is "innocent or not." But God who not only "sees" the spirit but EXAMINES IT, KNOWS whether the infant is innocent or not. Hence:

  "..the way MAN see is NOT the way God sees, for mere man sees what APPEARS TO THE EYES but God sees what the heart is."

  1 Samuel 16:7

  Babylon the Great

  the watchtower identifies the entity babylon the great as the "world empire of false religion" with christendom being the most reprehensible part.

  as far as i can gather, the society is unique in this interpretation of the identity of babylon the great.

  does anyone have a take on the identity of the harlot which differs from the society's viewpoint?.

  Here's my 'piece of the puzzel':

  Babylon the Great is the Mother of the Harlots and of all the disgusting things of the earth.

  She is a 'harlot' because she committed fornication with the kings of the earth. She was SUPPOSED to be a "chaste" virgin for Christ, but instead she was unfaithful and sold herself to the kings of the earth.

  since she was supposed to be a "chaste" virign, she was therefore 'anointed' but unfaithful. Hence she is one who claims to be 'anointed' on the basis of the name of Jesus but misleads many. She could therefore NOT be christendom, for Christendom was NEVER 'anointed' with holy spirit.

  There are some 'harlots' that DO profess an anointing, and whose Mother also profess an anointing as well, and have a kingdom over the kings of the earth.

  The 'anointed remnant' all have a "mother" whom they answer to and also represents them.. their Governing Body.
