As a born in ex I can see how you would feel sorry for her but that pales in comparison the issues that would have been forced on an innocent child that would have been raised a jw.

after this sunday's meeting i was invited over by one congregation elder's wife to an afternoon coffee.
we're not very close because of the age gap but we've "known" each other for so many years now, being in the same congregation.. she is like the anchor of the group.

Its just for summer scheduling. My kids mother is still in and I wasnt sure if they were announced yet. I will be waiting with baited breath until I hear from her.... not. I am hoping that my family vacation is during the same time because then my kids wont have to go. Thank you for the link though ( and all the other posts of yours I have read throughout the years )

On my last post I realized that I have been here for over three years. Although I am on less and less, I couldnt even begin to count how many hours I spent here. First as a lurker then finally overcoming the fear (sounds so stupid now) of joining the site and actually posting. Ignorance is really crushed by information and I owe a huge debt of gratitude to the men and women who have started websites such as this one. Thank you Simon.
When you finally make the stand that you will no longer have your life dicated to you it is very empowering. You can and most likely will lose many relationships as so many of us have but it is truly worth being your own man.... sink or swim. I wouldn't change anything.
