Does Anyone Have Knowledge About Follicular B Cell Lymphoma and Blood Transfusions?
by jamiebowers infrom what i've read, platelet and red blood cell levels are usually severely lowered during traditional treatment for this type of cancer.
is this correct?
and if so, are platelets and red blood cells now part of the watch tower approved fractions?

A simple answer to the OP:
You are correct. During chemo the patient will require multiple transfusions of both packed red cells and platelets (two different products) to combat the side effect of deadly low counts, even if proactively taking erythropoietin & iron supplements.
Jehovah's Witnesses do not accept packed red cells or platelets. JWs dx'd with leukemias and lymphomas must be treated at "bloodless" cancer centers in large city University hospitals, who offer more obscure and/or experimental alternatives and clinical trials. Even then it can be touch and go.
Hemoglobin transfusion is listed as acceptable but its trial has been pulled and is essentially universally unavailable.

Annulment of baptism for a minor?
by Tornintwo ini've seen references to baptism annulment on a few websites, does anyone know if there has ever been a successful annulment of a baptism?.
eg.
a minor claims they didn't understand a key wtbts teaching prior to baptism, is there any realistic chance of annulment?

I was baptized at age 10. I'm sure mine would never be over turned however because I pioneered a while as an adult.
It's really similar to an adult being baptized who doesn't know the org's true history but may learn TTATT later in life. Which is basically everyone.

A simple physical exercise leads to great discovery!
by iconoclastic inwhen i was working in a shipping company, captain invited me to his house for his wedding anniversary.
there i was attracted to his father (aged around 80) who seemed to be very healthy.
with me he became very comfortable, and talkative.

Fake Reporting, Growth and Crap Blessings
by cookiemaster ini think the numbers shown in the yearbook and with other occasions that are used by the gibberish buddies to boast about the blessings from jehovah are super fake and inflated, much of it even without their knowledge.
i think they like to take advantage of all sorts of technicalities and loopholes to report numbers as great as possible, but it's not like jws are super reliable sources of reporting.for example i have not been in field circus for something like two years.
i never talked about "the truth" with any non-jw, yet i've never been considered inactive.

Wow! I've narrowly fudged some hour numbers before but not literature. I guess I figured the literature "servants" would realize if someone lied. Then again I doubt they inventory placements the way restaurants do liquor and pharmacies narcotics. I completely agree though that the "growth" in yearbooks seems very inaccurate, not accounting for the inactive, faders, etc.
Being new on here, I'm intrigued by your blood experience in the OP, cookie. So I went back and read your previous threads. How horrifying. This is something I worry about for my own parents. I am wondering how the elders knew she received blood. Medical information is to be kept private and confidential in the U.S. at least. How intrusive...

S*** JW Parents Say
by Dissonant15 inmy mom especially had some go-to phrases that to this day echo in my head and piss me off.
things like, .
"don't get mad at me for enforcing the rules, because jehovah made them, so if you don't like it, you're disrespecting him.
