  any one on the forum in the colorado area?.

  i would love to get to know local ones who are out of the organization or who are currently df'd da'd faded.

  i am going through some tough times trying to endure the journey of fading out of the organization and would love to get to know all of your stories as well as those locally!.

  i noticed alot of exjws end up majoring in the social sciences.

  i am also interested in what educational choices people have made either while fading or while completely out.

  Obtaining my master's in nursing education while fading. Intend to move away and pursue a PhD in nursing research with a focus in public health and anthropology minor.

  I am preparing myself for an unannounced visit. I too am going to be "sick" ... with "IBS vomiting/incontinent diarrhea," and "not accepting calls or visits until further notice" due to the "private nature of my illnesses that trend to be exacerbated by social situations."

  Unless my husband's home on which case he'll just tell them to fuck off.

  Like cofty, I'm unusually fortunate to say allowing us to meet was the only good thing about the cult.

  I think I would've married him as non witnesses if there were some way to meet.

  He's also the one who later helped me wake up. So very fortunate here.

  I lied to the elders

  i stopped attending meetings all together in january 2015. before that my attendance was irregular at best.

  my husband followed suit a few months ago after months of research, agony, and indecision on his part.

  from the very beginning i laid low and did not share with anyone what i found out about the witnesses because i did not want to be df'd.

  Your mother & your relationship with her sound a lot like mine. I haven't called myself a big A yet, but the rest of that story sounds quite familiar. I decided a long time ago that if the elders ever show up at my door I'd be using that "spiritual warfare" right back at them. I completely understand where you're coming from!

  My IQ in junior high was 147. I didn't join Mensa, but I am a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.
