I just spent about 45 minutes talking to this nice guy jw that became a jw about 10 years ago at the age 40. had a very interesting talk about wt history/ present truth. the best part was what the wts lied to him about. I get the feeling he will look up some of the stuff.

Moshe; I was thinking about the" twilight Zone " tv show one episode was called "HOW TO SERVE MAN" THE ALEINS CAME DOWN AND SHIPPED HUMANS OFF TO ANOTHER PLANET. ONLY FOR THE HUMANS TO FIND OUT . HOW TO SERVE MAN WAS A COOK BOOK !!! i get the feeling that the jw's will cook all non jw's at the big A and have a big BBQ...

my main argument with them has been the incorrect dates.
607, 1914. they said i need to stop focusing on dates.

Just n from bethel; Now your getting it, these are the kind of questions I ask jw's hence stumping them or enlighten them. I enjoy using the gideons on them also the "Americian bible society" which claims to translate bibles or parts of the bible into . HOLD YOUR HAT over 2400 languages. that amount sounded way to much to me so I called them in nyc. They were very nice and mailed me a large packet breaking down what countries they were active in and long lists of languages parts or the whole bible they do. I didn't add up all the numbers. but it looked impressive. ON a bethel tour not so many years ago the bethel old timer giving the tour . took me to a plaque on the wall and was bragging how the wts translates the bible in 31 languages ( i think it was 31 ) the ensuing conversation went much like your arguement, throwing in the AMerican bible society and asking why the wt mag is printed in over 100 languages and not the bible/nwt. It was a very interesting tour to say the least.

it was interesting because it basically said the witnesses used the bible to fortell the fall of the axis powers in wwii.
now when i first heard the speaker say it - my ears perked up.

I had that jw crap rammed down my throat for over 40 years and I took my lumps along the way till I lost some very close family . just for doing what I was told" test anything you want about the wts they have nothing to hide"... your talking to me like some smart ass elder using straw man arguements, fallicies in argumentation g 5-22-90 pg 12-14 to put it nicely your calling me the same as jw's call x jw's satan or demons just in reverse. You may not believe in the wt no more but you still have a jw's mentality. trying to put words in others mouths. Trust me I have seen it all first hand how jw's destroy families. I learned after years of research the old fashioned way without a computer. I learned losing debate after debate with jw family ,elders, and any shit heads they brought in from bklyn. I learned step by step how to handle most any jw. In the end I lost some family. So be it. even tho the wt got me in the end, I never BOWED to them. Dam right i'm proud of that. After reading some of your story here, I feel your pain, you knowing how the wts screwed you over all these years. Hopefully you can fade, leave, go back or do whatever makes you happy without the wts destroying your family or your mind. Pay attention; I wish you well being whatever course you take. JYD

i'LL chime in on this one. In the late 1930's OR early 40's when ww2 was just starting the wts proclaimed the king of the north (axis powers) would take over the king of the south (the united state and britian) ie. win the war. before the outbreak of the BIG A. to follow. I'm bored and figured i'd throw out that little tid-bit of an other wt flip flop. the wts also said in the 1950's that the U.S.S.R the king of the north was going to take over the king of the south (U.S. BRITIAN) Of course they were wrong again. I'm bored but not bored enough to look it up . wow sitting at the wt conventions truly gives purposeless boredom a new meaning.

Stumbled across a recurring theme in WT: teach 'the organization' to your kids
by sd-7 inyesterday afternoon, right before i was about to take my wife to the kingdom hall (no, i'm not attending, haven't been in 9 months, strangely enough am still thinking of returning if it would help my marriage, but it won't), i happened to notice her opened october 15th, 2010 watchtower.
around page 25 or so, there was an article that caught my eye.
it instructed parents to teach their children to 'not act independently of the organization, even in small matters'.

i think wt articles telling jw's to look up wt history etc. Is an indirect way some wts writers giving hints the wt is bogus. Thats how I got interested in wt history , from reading wt mag's. I fact they laid out a map for me to expose the wts. better than any bible arguement I ever heard
