Thanks for the offer, but I really don't need to drink, wash myself in, or be cleansed with Jay Hoover's or Jesus' blood. I'm also not interested in religious TV shows of any kind. Waiting for a kingdom that never comes is just not my style anymore.

Jehovah Bled For YOU - To Receive YOUR Punishment (the wages of sin)
by Perry inzech 12: 9,10 (jehovah is speaking).
kjv - and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son.
nasb - so that they will look on me whom they have pierced; and they will mourn for him, as one mourns for an only son.

Well, the Wanktower Society has evolved during the last century, but it's still the same old crap. So I guess evolutionism has it's flaws...

Why did Jehovah preach the Good News to dead people?
by moshe init's one of those , aha!, moments that hits you right after you leave the kh.
if jehovah picked the wt society back in 1919 as his one true christian congregation and then asigned them and only the international bible students the big work of preaching the king and kingdom, at those famous,.
,uh-hum, everyone who heard the life saving message from rutherford's gang was going to be dead in a few years- everyone was going to the grave, not straight to the new system of things.

Djeggnog, I really don't give a crap on all the religious talk in this thread. I just called to remind you not to report the time spent here on your monthly field circus leaflet. I always take care of all JW lurkers. We are glad to have you here.

The Gentile Times Reconsidered
by Spade indisproving the date 1914 as a significant year in bible prophecy is of great importance to some (e.g.
carl o. jonsson).
along with the meticulous details of bible and secular chronology, broadening one's horizons when assessing exactly what this date represents when compared against the 6000 years of human history likewise has merit.

I wonder how they knew who was a virgin and who was not, before they had sex with them.

The Watchtower Org will continue to abuse and control people...
by Scooby-Doo in... unless we become organized as well!.
that's the key to making the public aware of the abuse that gets swept under the rug, the way family relationships become destroyed because of shunning, the changes in doctrine throughout the years, the methods that they use to control people etc.
the general public in most cases view the witnesses as nice, harmless weirdos.

Aussie Oz is right. People don't give a s...t on anything that does not impact their life NOW. There are too many thing that can screw up your life, like a car accident, a plane crash, expensive oil, terrorism, a rape, a robbery, etc...why would we care about some loonies who knock at doors and advertise a kingdom that will never come?

Well, much like the entire Bible, it has no practical application whatsoever, Spade. It's not even entertaining.

A bad memory of the Ark?
by Scarlouie ini have a lingering memory of an wt article about the ark being found and measured, this read as fact and not a working theory or a possibility.
i was just a kid when i read it, but it stayed with me until i was a young adult and discovered that it was not true.
does anyone else remember this article, or is this just a confused memory from my cracked youth?.

Noah's ark is in the same place as God, Jesus and the angels: in the imagination of millions of poor dreamers.

Jesus between age 12 and 30. . .
by Mad Sweeney ini'm thinking he traveled east and learned the wisdom of the orient.
no way the watchtower line about him being a carpenter's assistant all that time is possibly true.
he was way too learned about the ways of people to not have been educated and his ideas seem very eastern to me.. anyone got any good books, articles, blogs, websites on the topic?.

If Jesus was indeed real, the answer to the questions "Where was he educated?" and "What was his mission?" can be found once we find the answer to the question "Who was his father?". Don't give me that bull...it with the virgin conception through the Holy Spirit. Mary was no more virgin than my grandma. So, Jesus seems to have been an important man and someone very powerful (no, not God) guided and protected him. Probably a wealthy and influent father, who was interested because of unknown reasons in keeping the birth secret. If Mary was indeed a descendant of a former royal dynasty, more questions arise and the plot thickens.
