  it's been said before, "if one went through the bible with a pair of scissors and cut out all the references to the poor and the oppressed, you would have a bible full of holes!

  " the bible is laced with a myriad of references to the poor and since the wts doctrine places such a strong emphasis on earning ones salvation.

  i'm curious as to why one doesn't see jehovah's witnesses out there feeding and clothing the homeless or caring for the elderly.. there are so many references but the one that comes to mind is matthew 25.. matthew 25:35-4535 for i was hungry and you gave me food; i was thirsty and you gave me drink; i was a stranger and you took me in; 36 i was naked and you clothed me; i was sick and you visited me; i was in prison and you came to me.
