i know as exjws, probably for the most, there was a secret freedom in watching horror films without thinking you would have a demon as a bed buddy.. i am not very fond of every horror movie, but i will watch those that have an intelligent side to it and is not gore for the sake of gore.
like "the ring" got me going when i first watched it, just like "the blair witch project" did, which is more about suspense.
anyway, i never saw any of the saw movies, so i am going to try to watch saw iii tonight, since it is on showtime.

i was mainly an xbox kind of guy until they completely abandoned it soon after the 360 was released.

I've seen this happen at a district convention where my car group was nitpicking over a brother (that they never even met) wearing a lime green shirt. They were saying the shirt was too "loud" and would be inappropriate for job interviews.
I remember being told to avoid watching movies that are rated R in other countries.
However, the absolute dumbest thing I've heard of someone being "stumbled" over is ... choosing to get a college / university education.

it seems now it's longer and longer between times that i come to visit this site...but there is a deep feeling inside that calls me to connect with others whose lives have been ravaged in some way by the religion.
this even a few years after leaving it all.. sometimes when it is quiet, i reflect on how it used to be..how i now live such a different life.
walking away from the religion...there are no words to describe the sense of personal freedom and strength that has followed.

this thread is not about how ridiculous it is that a female is not allowed to hand out mags, territory, books or carry a microphone if a qualified male is present.
Yes and here are my reasons:
- Less work, Less stress
- I don't have to worry about not being qualified for these male "privileges" or getting snubbed of them.
- There's no one "encouraging" me to take up these male "privileges" or make these male "privileges" as my spiritual goals.
- There's no elders threatening to take away these male "privileges."
- If a relative gets DF or DA, then I don't have to worry about losing these male "privileges."
- Without these male "privileges," I'm not under pressure to set a good example for the congregation.
- Also, being an single female sister with no privileges or titles made my fading easier.
Once I heard that sisters will have an easier time adjusting to the new system because they're so humble and submissive.

- lack of love in the organization
- a certain friend / intelligent, kind hearted "worldly" people
