Nah, no revenge fantasies. But I would like to be a fly on the wall to see ALL the expressions on ALL the faces of ALL the untouchable righteous ones when the excriment begins hitting the air handling equipment.

Do you ever fantasize...
by i_drank_the_wine in...about funny revenge plots on the jw's?.
- dressing up properly, going to a random memorial where the people don't know you, and "partaking of the emblems".
- going to a random kingdom hall where the people don't know you, give a couple "real" jw comments to earn trust / cred., give a third comment that contains the "f" curse in it, then act like nothing happened.

Copyright Issues
by irondork inone of the points ray franz brought out in both his books is that most of the early literature is out of print and simply unavailable to jehovah's witnesses (or anyone else) today.. would there be any copyright issues involved in setting up a website, or an addition to this website (just a scenario) with a database of all this old leterature?
are writings from 100 years ago considered public domain now?.
i realize it would be a massive undertaking but with so many people contributing literature from their own collections.... .

How do you feel about not seeing your dead loved ones again?
by highdose init always felt rather unatural the thought of seeing people who had been dead for years.
how would they come to terms with the huge passage of time that had passed?
how would they be able to cope with the fact that their family had probably hugely changed since they had died.

I don't have dead loved ones. I don't even have alive loved ones.
Compliments of the Watchtower, Bible and Tract Society.
I have a really cool cat though. His name is Jack-Jack.

Why haven't more JWs noticed the WTS false prophecy?
by Chemical Emotions ini haven't found anything to show that they have, except in the reasoning book, they admit say this:.
"jehovah's witnesses do not claim to be inspired prophets.
they have made mistakes.

pbrow: Be a Christian and be friendly any time you pass one by.
I like this one. Put the burden of shunning on them. And it IS a burdon.
I've been observing your progression (posts) through this mess. I'm proud of you kid. I wish I had my head screwed on as well as you seem to when I was your age. Instead, when they DF me for being gay, my life fell apart over it. It fell apart so bad that 15 years later I got myself reinstated only to find out the truth about the truth. That REALLY screwed me up.
I'm glad you got it figured out at a young age so you can enjoy your life. I'm happy for you and I wish you the best.

Apostates Shut the door of everlasting life in Men's Faces
by mankkeli ini was discussing with an elder today, and as usual the conversation drifted towards apostates and their line of reasoning, he angrily looked into my eyes with the scriptures in his hand and told me:.
(1) that apostates are destructive peddlers who shut the door of everlasting life on people as they are very sure they have no portion in there.
he quoted matt 23:13- 13 woe to you, scribes and pharisees, hypocrites!

Another 1975 coming soon
by fade_away ini heard some analysts on the news recently saying that at the rate the us is falling and china rising, it is expected that china will be the super power within the next 30 or 40 years.
if that happens then i guess there will be another mass exodus of jws from the wt despite what new light they come up with.
but if the witlesses are right then that means god must intervene and the great tribulation and armageddon is coming in less than 30 or 40 years.

fade_away: Ever wonder how you'll react if things play out exactly as the JWs predict?
I was thinking about this recently in terms of the 607 vs. 589(?) debate.
Either way, if, If, IF the rest of the math is correct, that puts us "deep into the last days", "a breath away", don't you know. It is entirely possible that things could play out kinda-sorta like the WTS has predicted but that in no way implies the rightness of the church.
Personally, I hope we are on the brink of Armageddon. I'm tired. Win, lose or draw... I just want it to be over. If being finished with this screwed up life means I have to get dead and stay that way, so be it.
But I don't think it will come to that.

THE BIBLEISANORGANIZATIONALBOOK
8 All the Law or Torah that Jehovah inspired Moses to write was for this theocratic organization of Israel. So were all the other books that now comprise the Hebrew Scriptures, or the “Old Testament” as some persons refer to them. But over fifteen centuries later, Paul, himself an Israelite and an apostle of Jesus Christ, wrote concerning these books that make up three-quarters of our Bible: “For all the things that were written aforetime were written for our instruction, that through our endurance and through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope.” (Rom. 15:4) By this, Paul meant that the Bible, as an instruction book for the theocratic organization of Israel, had now become a book of instructions for the organization of the Christian congregation.
9 As the canon of books of God’s Word was expanded and the Christian Greek Scriptures were added to complete the Bible, each book was written directly to the Christian congregation or to a member of the Christian congregation in its behalf. Thus the Bible is an organizational book and belongs to the Christian congregation as an organization, not to individuals, regardless of how sincerely they may believe that they can interpret the Bible. For this reason the Bible cannot be properly understood without Jehovah’s visible organization in mind.
