I left still believing that it was God's hand-picked organization - gone astray. I only knew something was wrong without being able to put my finger on it. I never expected the tidal wave of information I discovered upon cracking open the internet.
I think I would have kept a watchful eye out for it to turn it's behavior around so I could return some day.
with all the tools and information at the disposal of newly awakened ones, it's still no easy task coming to terms with the magnitude of it all.

I think I would have made it out the door, but without the resources available now I don't think I would have the peace of mind I enjoy today.

Sounds like the WTS did some arm-twisting. Could not the same type of retraction be demanded of the WTS for it's slanderous "mentally deseased" comments about people who have never been diagnosed as such?

But the governing body has brilliantly manipulated the minds of 7 million people. Taking advantage of a person's natural desire to please god, they slowly and ingeniously mold thier thinking patterns, tuning them in to the WTS channel, convincing them that obedience to the Body is synonymous with obedience to God. In some cases, obedience to the Body is essential to even having a relationship with God.
So when the Body demands restrictions on the internet, that's it. Done. Obedience with glazed over eyes and spittle hanging off the chin.
