I thought baptism was a dedication to God
by irondork inaccording to this description, unless the elders determine that you really want to be a member of the watchtower corporation, then you are not worthy of dedicating your life to god.. .
w98 3/13 dedication and freedom of choice p.17 par.18.
before a person can qualify to become one of jehovahs witnesses, he must meet scriptural qualifications.

Respect for life - feels funny
by irondork ini had to have a medical procedure done yesterday that had the potential for blood loss.
everything went fine.
but in preparation for the surgery i was asked, "in the event there is significant bleeding would you have any objection to a blood transfusion?".

War broke out in heaven
by irondork inand war broke out in heaven: michael and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled but it did not prevail, neither was a place found for them any longer in heaven.
so down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called devil and satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him.
- revelation 12:7-9. this took no time at all, for it is written:w97 5/1 p.29remember that according to revelation 12:9, 10, with the establishment of gods heavenly kingdom in 1914, satan was cast down to the vicinity of the earth.but it took jesus three years to figure out who his true followers were on earth.

"If"
by irondork inaccording to the new faithful and discreet slave, christs warning about the evil slave was referring to a hypothetical situation that could never happen.
the word if proves it.
mathew 24:48-51 - but if ever that evil slave should say in his heart, my master is delaying, and should start to beat his fellow slaves and should eat and drink with the confirmed drunkards, the master of that slave will come on a day that he does not expect and in an hour that he does not know, and will punish him with the greatest severity and will assign him his part with the hypocrites.

Who really are the FOOD SERVERS?
by irondork inat a convention in washington, d.c., 1935, j.f.
rutherford announced the identity of the great multitude, of revelation 7:9 as being the other sheep of john 10:16.. i dont remember if i heard it in a talk or read it in a piece of literature, but i remember some commentary about how the governing body of that time finally came to this understanding.
they had been struggling with the identity of this great crowd, even speculating that this group would occupy a lower station in heaven than those who would serve with christ as kings and priests.

Apostates use counterfit words
by irondork insurely the wts knows exactly what it is up to, evidenced by it's spot-on description of it's own tactics, albeit used to misdirect the reader to another conclusion.. .
w/11 7/15 will you heed jehovah's clear warnings?

Good time for R&F to preemptively question GB validity
by irondork inwith the new light in the july 15 watchtower, now might be the perfect time for rank and file members to question wether or not the big boys are who they say they are.
in light of the fact that the men who claim to be the sole channel of communication for all mankind could not even grasp their own identity for the last 100 years, wouldn't now be a good time to turn the tables on the elders who are so quick to drag a questioning dub to the back room and demand loyalty to the governing body?.
wouldn't now be a good time to put the july 15 watchtower in the middle of the table and ask to see the credentials on these men without fear of being suspected of apostacy?

Disfellowshipped for PARTAKING
by irondork ini wonder if anyone has ever been disfellowshipped just for partaking.
of course they would eventually tag it as apostacy, but the real reason would stand - and could get the attention of local media.. .
the newsies tend to shy away from doctrinal entanglements, but the idea of a "christian" church disfellowshipping one of their own for taking the sacrament - surely that would raise someones eyebrow.
