Just remembered a good one! I forget when this happened specifically, but sometime earlier this year I was out in service. I forgot to shave that morning and the elder I was with drove me to my home and told me I should shave!

I was just thinking about a few things:
1) How much the elders are like the gestapo. The majority of the information given to them is from regular members because they're trained to tell the elders everything. People will even do their own snooping to find things out and tell the elders. Once, someone went through my computer files, browser history, and google searches. Another time, I went to an amusement park with a "worldly" person and, me being the naive person I was, told a JW "friend." My next Bible Study was about bad association, and the conductor told me that my "friend" told him everything.
2) Sometimes when referring to the United States I will say "we." And my JW "friend" will reply, "I don't know who this 'we' is."

Hmm...not sure if this will help, but when I was at the gym today I completely zoned out while sitting at a tricep machine, staring at the floor, no idea of what was going on around me. I didn't snap out of it until my friend said something to me. I don't really remember thinking about anything, I could have been, I just don't remember. I'm a guy. Hope that helps.

Is Another 1975 Possible?

do you think the society has a planned campaign where they will state that armageddon will be upon us within the next 10 years and actually state that armageddon will definitely hit by 2020?
we all know that they have been drumming into us that "the end is just around the corner", but can you see them pulling another 1975 stunt in order to bring in additional members?.

I was told the symbol of a band I like, Coheed and Cambria, was bad because it "represented the cosmos aligning." The band's music is based around a fictional story the singer made up. Their symbol represents a fictional planetary system with an energy field connecting them all.
I don't know how to get the image to show up but if you type "keywork" into google you'll see it.

Some time this year I told some witnesses I couldn't go out to eat because I was low on gas and money. One of them said "where do you go?" like she expected me not to have a social life and things to do.

1) When the earth was proposed to be round, people thought it was the craziest thing ever.
2) When earth was shown not to be the center of gravity in the solar system people refused believe it.
New discoveries always leave people baffled. Can we automatically assume that this is 100% impossible? No. Is there proof either way? No. Since quantum physics is pretty new stuff, humans don't have a lot of knowledge on the subject. Just because something sounds completely different than what we're used to doesn't mean we should call it crazy. Until more is discovered about Hawking's ideas, we can't say whether it's plausible or not. Science is always discovering things we humans never thought possible, so we will just have to wait.

A long time ago I was told I shouldn't watch Spongebob because it's violent. The same person also told me the macarana dance used to be a prostitute dance so I shouldn't do it.
