  I ended up in the back room of the KH today

  our public talk and wt study is on saturdays.

  i was informed by an elder that i shouldn't leave right away after the meeting.. immediately i had a sinking feeling in my stomach.

  but not as bad as i would have felt about it months ago.

  What would happen if a JW writes a book on evolution?

  i don't know if that's ever happened: a jw writing a thesis, an article or even a book supporting the theory of evolution.

  i know many jw don't have the needed qualifications for the above, but let's assume someone actually did that.

  i know there are a few jw.

  I'm feeling disappointed now

  i've been in this board for 2 months now, and have read and researched enough to know that what i thought was the one and only true religion isn't actually true.

  finding out real facts has brought me severe disillusion and sadness.

  as a jw i was taught that we were special in view of john 6:44 "no man can come to me unless the father, who sent me, draws him; and i will resurrect him in the last day.".

  Is the information on JWfacts.com accurate?

  i'm researching and going through so much material to try and find out whether jw doctrines and beliefs are based on the bible, as well as if they're consistent.

  i'm a jw currently and i have many doubts at the moment.

  fortunately this site is helping me so much, as there's always someone who's posted the same question i had in mind.

  When a friend tells you things you don't hear at the KH

  a close friend of mine enlightened me a couple of weeks ago by telling me so many things about the wt.

  that's how i first heard about the involvement with the un, russell's pyramidology (freemason symbols), dates, etc.

  this friend also used terms like 'mind control' and 'rank and file', which i'd never heard before in this context.

  Contraceptive question

  ok, this matter has troubled me for some time now.

  jw aren't allowed to use the morning after pill, since it can cause an early abortion.

  principle of sanctity of life comes to mind.. what about the regular pill?

  i've been reading many many stories in this site and others for the past few days.

  some stories i've encountered were xbethelite memories.

  what i read and i concur with what i've seen at bethel here (europe) is that "bethel heavies" or the old guard would have better accommodation, whereas newbies have much more modest rooms.
