  i am moving next week to edmonton, alberta with my brother and want to delete my account.

  My brother and I will be sharing the computer. He is a strong jw and I don't want him to find out. I am not ready at the moment to have a major issue with my family.

  Well then what you want to do is clear your history, cookies, saved passwords, saved searches, saved form information and cache files.

  You should probably also check your downloads folder and make sure you didn't accidentally save a link on this site instead of opening it.

  And you'll need to clear your recycle bin after that's all done.

  If you can tell us what browser you are using we can help you clear it out.

  You've posted information to a public forum, it cannot be removed.

  Even if a mod here with access to the database decided to scrub every post made by your account. All the people quoting you would still exist.

  Even if every post you made and every reference to every post you made was removed from this website, everything you posted would still be viewable via the wayback machine, google caches and various other internet archives. And there's literally nothing anyone here can do about it.

  Unbelievable Experience in Yearbook

  a number of years back i heard a story of a young girl in a congregation ( i have some good friends in this hall ) who had an amazing field service experience.

  it was so amazing that it was retold in the 2007 yearbook!.

  it is retold in the highlight of the past year section.

  I see what you're saying Christ Alone, but it's not neccesarily true.

  For example I could say: Everyone who is a politician lies.

  But that doesn't mean that everyone who is NOT a politician does not lie.

  Or "everyone who uses Lore's Patented Sunscreen will be saved from sunburn. "

  Some people who don't use my sunscreen may also be sunburn free, but everyone who uses it will DEFINITELY not get sunburn.

  Name Jehovah

  i have a question regarding the name "jehovah".. is yahweh an english translation of the name?

  if not, and some say that we don't know exactly how it should be translated, what about the argument the wt makes regarding "we do not know how jesus' name was originally said either".

  other bible translations translate names like "jeremiah" from their original language.

  I appreciate the comments, but I am once again I am not getting a direction answer to my question.

  You asked two questions: Is Yahweh an english translation of the name?

  Answer: No. But it is a transliteration of the name. Meaning it's an attempt at using English letters to form the same sound that was made by ancient Hebrews.

  A translation of the name would be "I AM"

  Second question: So, if Yahweh is not a translation to english, why not simply use Jehovah?

  Because 'Jehovah' is not a translation either, it's simply an inferior transliteration.
