my wife, raised in a jw home, very popular elder as her father, living through the entire 1975 thing ("honey don't worry about passing 7th grade.

next year will be the new system..."), but beat up for years by the mind-control and spiritual abuse by the wts.... she has recently officially da'd from the society this spring, had her first birthday party ever (a huge blast of a great time!).

I have a colt 1903 pocket pistol and you have to take the safty off to unload it,

many autos do not need the safty taken off to unload them, but eather way the gun did not do any thing wrong. It did not blow up, It did not pick it self up and shoot someone.

The reason that the scumbag atty. sued the gun manufacture is they have the insurance for liability, to sue the shooter you could get a boom box and a gold tooth, So the gun company goes bankurpt and starts again. That is the protection of the system. If we take that away form a gun manufacture, than we can take it away from you when things get bad and you need it.

When we introduce emotion in to law, we get bad law.

How can we take away free speach from the neo nazi down the street and keep free speach for the green peace terrorist?

I absoluty hate green peace and democrats and liberals, but they have every right to spew their crap, Not to mention that we have a bill of rights that gives us the right to have and bear arms.

And this is not a collective right, the bill of rights was for the individule, no national guard was created when the bill of rights was writen, the only thing close to the national guard was the tores and I think that was not what the framers had in mind when the bill of rights was writen, also the second amendment was not for duck hunting, it was to keep the power in the hands of the people. because the framers new very well that power made tyrants of leaders. and that is what the reveloution was all about, we broke the bonds of tyrany, look at the feet of the statue of liberty, the broken chain which signifies freedom from tyrany.

The problem is the leftwing idots that teach in many of the schools today do not want the young to know where we came from and how smart the old white guys were that started this country, instead it is to easy to sit and complain that suv's are destroying the eco system or that the framers of the constitution were old idots. This from the same people who brought you hate ashburry st. and woodstock, these wont be remembered in 100 years, but the founding fathers will be looked on with awe, for many many hundreds of years. the people who want your guns also blame the usa for droping the bomb on the jap's in ww2, puting jap-amer. in prison in the usa when we were attacked, and think that all the indians or indiginous peoples before europeans arrived sat around and made symors and sang coumbya, all I can say is bull crap, ted kennedys car has killed more people than my any one of my guns.

I understand what you are saying now.

But the gun still did notghing wrong, I dont believe in saftys on guns, if gives a false sence of security, I have seen many people handle guns recklessly because they think the gun is safe. slam fires take place because there is no spring keeping the fireing pin in the rear posistion and the inertia can fire a round, It does not happen ofter but can happen, I totaly dissagree with the statment about piece of crap guns being out lawed, Many of my guns are highly valuable, my collection alone is in the 45k value. but I have also owned jennings guns, davis, and raven, all family related manufactures of inexpensive guns. they for the most part on the low cal. guns have no hammer, they use a striker fireing system, some people dont like it because it can be done cheeply, but glock used the same type of system, I have had very little toruble with my jennings, I on the other hand have had trouble with my smith and wesson 4506 w. laser sight, an 900 gun, I had to send it back to s&w to find out why it jamed all the time, in the end it was the clips. they issured new ones and all is well.

I had a davis 380 auto. I bought it new for 79 usd, cheep and it worked great, never jamed, not a good looking gun but some one who cant afford a 500 usd browning it would work great for. I am not in favor of baning something because it is not expensive, that is elitist, also yes you can buy a mossburg shot gun for appx 290 new, 150 maybe used, but mossburg is the low end of the shot gun group, so maybe we should ban them because you can or should get a ruger redlable for 3k? the other point is yes a 12 ga, will do the job better than any hand gun, why take a pistol to a gun fight when you can bring artillary, but shot guns even in a pistol girp short bbl. config. are very heavy and long and more difficult to use, I can just see single mom carring a mossburg in her tote bag.

In short all companys make guns that do not preform for the money, I will not buy a weatherby why? because you get bells and whistles for your money, I will stay with rem,or savage for a hunting rifle. In gun test savage shoots consistantly tighter groups over almost all competers, and for far less $.

The other point I would like to make is a cop friend of mine when some states were baning the so called sat night spec. was told that in those states that the crime gangs were now using high cap. 9mm and 45 autos on the cops instead of the low priced 22 and 25 autos because they were not being sold in the state.

In the end you can point and counter point but the second amendment give me and you the right to have firearms. those who say that it ment the national guard well the guard did not exist at the time of the bill of rights, so we were the millita,

I am looking forward to november when I hope the underfolding stocks will be legal again on the aks. Instead of 1100 usd, maybe I can pick one up for 350, another baby to adopt. so many children and so little time. they all need good homes.

xena, I think you are the one who missed the point, which is that the gun in question did nothing faulty, unlike the design flaw in the pinto that you used in your comparison, the car was falty or had a design flaw. the gun has no such design flaw. it functiond flawlessly, so you are for sewing companys who produce products that do exactly what they say they will do?

So can I sue huskavana because the chain saw cut through my leg? is that a design flaw. I think not, you need to focus, a design flaw would be weak metal that the gun company new would not take the presures of the cartridg and blows up in the face of the user not when the usere, and this is the problem here many want to blame the misuse of the user on the manufacture, and that is why all of these law suits go down in flames,

the manufacture says this is a dangerous item and needs to be used by responsible adults, and it is safe, the gun is safe, I have owned jennings guns before, yes they are inexpensive, so what, you think a black single mom living in a bad projects can afford a 600$ smith and wesson? I think not.

But back to the point you were trying to make, which no disrespect to you but it is totaly wrong, you can in no way compare a item that did something to hurt the user when the user was just doing what he was suposed to be doing, and some one misusing an item, you would have the family of selfinflicted gun shot wounds sue the factory?

Let me put this in simpler terms [not that you need it but to keep is simple for all to grasp} the pinto comparison is not a good one it is apples and oranges, this is much better, sueing gun manufactures for misuse of guns is the same as sueing car manufactures because a drunk driver ran over some ones 5 year old, the car did not do anything it was not supposed to do.

You need to keep the blame on the right place, the misuse of the user,

people need to be responsible for their actions, It is all to easy and an base emotional responce to say sue the make of the item bad bad gun, bad bad car,

inanimate objects can sit in a ditch and never hurt any one. a knife can sit in a kitchen counter and never do any more harm that cut a dead cucumber,

but in the hands of an al quada nut case it can take the head off an innocent person. do we need to ban or stop makeing certian kitchen knives because some low life animal in the middle east uses one to do evil? of corse not nor do we need to ban or limit or sue the manufacture of louisville slugers because some nut case beat in some persons head with one.

Guns are nothing more than a tool, they can be collected like I do. or be used for hunting, self defence, defence of country, keep the peace in law enforcment, used in pest control like nutria in louisiana, ect.

Many have said that we need to licence users of gun, we need a drivers licence to drive a car? yes we do on public highways, and to have a ccw we need to get that licence, and you need to pass certian criteria, but you do not need to have a licence to have a car on your own property, that is the infringment, so to we should not need a licence to have a gun on our own property, you see when you put emotion asside the left gun grab falls flat on its face,

sorry cant agree with you there, I am a full fledge republican, You see I think most exdubbs become dems because we were tought to hate the goverment, and that is what dems do, they hate the usa, capitolisim, and our way of life. they try to apoligise for every thing from slavery, to the war in vietnam,at the same time saying that republicans are responsibel for global warming and sit in smoke filled rooms trying to figure out how to make the drinking water dirty, bull crap, lets go to one of the most loved of the dems prez. FDR, Rosevelt for those of us who are historicaly challenged, did or did he not impresion thousands of japs after the attack [unprovoked and dispicable attack] on peral? and put them in concentration camps in the south west? and have them or ones suspected of involvment in anti amercian activities interogated?

Whenever a group of enviro-lefties get together a lot of clumsy comparisons get thrown around concerning Republicans, free-marketeers, businessmen, and their alleged resemblance to fascists and Nazis. Which is odd because those groups, however much you like or loathe them, are of various Christian denominations or even Jewish, don?t advocate street violence or eugenics, don?t tend to subjugate individuals to abstractions like racial purity, etc. In fact the list of dissimilarities goes on and on.
But, when you look at the political wing of the environmental/socialist movement, the various Green Parties of the world, you see the following ominous parallels.
The Green Party is led by a bunch of pagan, vegetarian dropouts. So were the Nazis. Hitler was a failed artist and vegetarian. The leader of the SS, Himmler (another soy-sucker), wanted his Black Corps to be the vanguard of a pre-Christian back-to-the-land movement. The rituals and symbols he devised to replace Christian services looked like really bad art direction of a performance of Wagner?s Ring Cycle .
The Green Party claims to stand for workers? rights. "Nazi" is short for National Socialist German Workers? Party.
Sometimes the Greens wear animal costumes to political functions. The Nazis went to their rallies in drag as well.
The Greens stand up for farmers and peasants, foreign and domestic. The Nazis were wonderfully agrarian, even advocating organizing farming. They just wanted the farms to be in the Ukraine, tended by the untermench .
The Greens advocate "decentralization." The Nazis practiced decentralization by giving their colonial governments life and death power over the organic farmers in their jurisdiction.
The Greens wage a defensive war of sabotage and propaganda for the oppressed peasants of the world. The Nazis waged a defensive war for the oppressed Aryans of Central Europe.
Greens occasionally smash shop windows to get their point across. One word: Kristalnacht.
I?m not sure, but I imagine the Greens disapprove of smoking tobacco. The Nazi regime tried to ban smoking in public places, forcing its soldiers to set an example of abstinence.
The Greens hate guns, especially private ownership of guns. The Nazis inflicted on the world groundbreaking "gun-control" laws, which they tested by confiscating the arms of German Jews.
The Greens are big tree planters. Seven years ago, an aerial survey of the former East Germany revealed a stand of larch in a forest of pine. These trees, planted by an early and flamboyant supporter of Hitler, formed a huge bright green swastika for a few weeks in spring and a flaming yellow one in the fall. (Ironically, the Germans, those engineers, fooled around for five years before removing the swastika, because they thought cutting down only the larches would just leave a swastika shaped hole in the forest. I guess they eventually got permission to flatten even de-Nazi-fied trees.)
The Greens want investment in alternative energy. The Nazis pioneered not only synthetic oil from coal (to cope with the small problem of a hopeless war) they also invested a ton of Reich marks in an alternative energy system exploiting an until-then useless substance called uranium. And of course, there is the whole fetish for Volkswagen Mini-buses.

this is a subjuct close to my hart since I own over 90 firearms myself.

From an antique 1863 sharps carbine to a couple of ar15s and ak47, and many hand guns, In fact as I type I have another baby on the way to its new home, a 5.5 inch bbl. ruger red hawk in 44mag. I already have a cold anaconda in 44 mag. but it was lonley,

Any way sueing a gun manufacture for what the gun did is the same a sueing GM for a car that was used in a gangland drive by,

The gun that was manufactured did exactly what it was suposed to do.

that is it did not malfunction, blow up and hurt the shooter, it loosed it progectile in the proper manor, the problem was with the owner or the shooter. should we then close down jack danials because some one was a drunk driver or beat their wife and kids under the influance? why that is stupid you say?

I totaly agree, it is stupid, or maybe we should shut down the case knife company because some gang banger stabed a woman to death, yep that is the root of the problem.

Remember this is the left thinking, also remember the movie leathal weapon 3 or 4 I cant recall the one. but when the gang bang nog shoots at the cop [glover] and he has to with heavy hart kill the perp? then he goes to the perps mother and she says " Get the man that put the gun in my babys hand" Wow so if guns did not exist than this teenage perp would be helping the homeless or volintering for hospital duty,. any one who falls for that crap deserves the likes of kerry for prez.

I can remember when in my home state of michigan we were fighting for ccw. for those of you who do not know what that means it is concealed carry laws that if you do not have a feloney on your record or violent mis. you can and shall be issued a right to carry, there are places you can not with a ccw carry, I.E. prisons, courts , schools, stadiums with cap. over 2500, predom. alchol service bars.

When we were fighting for the right the left came out with the same old bull crap that the state would be the wild west again. well here we are 4 years in to or ccw. and by the way 38 states have done what mich, has, and guess what crime has went down,

No shooting in the middle of wal-mart. ect. The left pandering to the likes of the ugly duck sara bready {which the way she uses her brain dead hubby to promote her agenda is sick} always come up with the fake reasons that guns are bad mmmkay,

Most of you nongun people dont know about the book writen to support the idea that early americans did not in fact own guns that it was a recent propagand ploy by the gun industry, the book arming america by micheal bellesiles has been totaly discredited as nonfactual, in fact the book has been out of print as the left who held it up as proof that guns are a recent fad, not a haritage, has quietly put it behind them,

The board essentially tried to replicate Bellesiles's findings from the probate records, having been asked by Emory if Bellesiles had engaged in "intentional fabrication or falsification of research data" from those records in Rutland County, Vermont; Providence, Rhode Island; the San Francisco Bay Area; and other records supporting his reports in Table 1 ("Percentage of Probate Inventories Listing Firearms") of his book. Elders Meeting

allright let me tell you what happened yesterday.

i went to the meeting yesterday because my cousin was visiting and wanted to know where the kh was located.

i finally offered to go with her to avoid any issues.

I would just call and tell them that since the big A is so close that I need the time to prepare for it. I.E. getting food stuffs,water,batterys,ect.

And then tell them as time is so short I would advise they do the same. And I will call when I can spare some time if the big one is not here first.

from what i understand the socity ownes the halls, but past that, to make a ruckus at the hall will not do to much, I would love to see it happen but in the long run the people doing the disruption will be open to leagle trouble. You can not disrupt a church service and from the stand point that they can get the police and news involved to get attention, my opinion is that not many care that have not been involved in the socity, they just dont amount to much outside of those who were and are dubbers, not like the catholics where they can get attention. kind of like the difference between a hooker in vegas getting in trouble for drugs and one of the royal family doing the same. the press will hound the royals to death and you could not get a two word sentance on page 38 for the hooker, the socity is like a vegas hooker. you know I kind of like that socity = vegas hooker. I think the vegas hooker would be more fun,
