Wat corp provides the equipment, the tracts, picks the locations, approves who can do it, gets the money, publisher assumes all responsibility. Never, never would hold up in court. All the wat lawyers must have slipped on the ice and hit their heads -

"Are they charging admission to tour Warwick?"
by My Name is of No Consequence inmy wife and son were talking about going to warwick to tour the new facility.

MY GUESS----They own two former hotels (former Marriott and Hampton) and a dinner next to the ex-Hampton. These are very near their flagship Newburgh Assembly Hall, not far from Watchtower Farm, Patterson, media production facility, and a little further to Warwick but not far. Bet there will be overnight arranged tours where tourist will be housed, fed, and carted around all arranged and provided for by the society. It'll be another $$$$$ making provision from Jeh. Who wants to bet me?

Don't forget to confess to the elders your trip into apostate land. They'll form a committee, meet with you, question you about your involvement with questions like how many times did you visit apostate web sites?, how many different sites?, how long you been doing this?, what other secret sins are you hiding?..........Good luck

Real Estate Business?
by no-zombie ini was going over some of the older posts of others and without starting some kind of flame war, i got no idea why people are saying that the society is some kind of real estate business.
of course its making millions of dollars in its real estate sales but this a one time event.
its down sizing by selling the furniture.

In the Hudson Valley NY and surrounding area----Wat Farm and other houses and land adjacent to the farm, commercial property warehouse/manufacturing building on Bracken Road, Montgomery NY, relatively newly built Marriott Gardens on rt 300 Newburgh NY, Hampton Inn right down the road from the Marriott, a diner right next to the Hampton, (the former Marriott, Hampton, and diner are very close to their flagship Newburgh Assembly Hall), fairly high end apt complex across the Hudson River (overlooking the river, you can see it from the bridge), another complex north of that one where they built a state of the art production studio (not sure where this one is but I think it also has river views), Patterson and adjacent houses and land, Tuxedo where the new complex was suppose to be, and of course the new Warwick complex, "the Place At the Lake." Don't know what's left or what they are hanging onto in Brooklyn. Gotta see if they want to buy my house. -

Odd choice of words
by Nevuela inwhy is it that when a jw gives someone a magazine, they use the word "place" instead of "give"?
as in "i placed a magazine with him".
and why do regular door-to-door jws of no special rank refer to themselves as publishers?

I always thought odd saying was "I'm ONE of Jehovah's Witnesses" instead of I'm a Jehovah's Witness.

Jehovah protects his people. Did he ever protect you?
by TimeBandit inhello forum.
i started this topic because i had been thinking recently about a story that i had heard many times in different congregations over the years.
kind of a jw urban legend if you will.

I just don't understand this, what am I missing???
by Greybeard inas i am watching this video about changes at bethel, the speaker said, "aren't we glad the faithful and discrete slave continues to make adjustments when necessary.
what about this change?
"finally, we examined why jesus’ arrival to appoint the faithful slave over all his belongings did not occur in 1919 but will take place during the great tribulation" that is from this online watchtower article last paragraph: https://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/w20130715/jesus-prophecy-last-days/ .

Wouldn't you all agree that GB needs to find ways to push already fulfilled prophesy imagined or real into the future in order to keep the smoke a mirror show going? That's all they are doing No different than the overlapping generation crap, just keep making stuff up, new light, no one else came up with that so the GB must have jeh's spirit and on it goes.

Go to the Battery and take a ride on the Staten Island Ferry. Great views of NY Harbor, Battery Park, Old Brooklyn Navy Yard, Lower Manhattan Skyline, goes past Statue of Liberty. When you get to Staten Island get back on another going back to Manhattan. When I was a kid growing up in the city we would ride our bikes to the ferry and take a ride, it cost a nickle. Now it's FREE. -

Isn't it wonderful how, even now, Jehovah helps his people? Prayer is so powerful.
by paul from cleveland in“i have to thank jehovah god for this,” serena williams told the crowd after receiving the trophy at the australian open in january, her sixth win there.
“i was down and out and he helped me today and i just said prayers”.

Holy crap! Jeh was helping her and she admits it? Sounds like cheating.
