Lost my virginity a week before first public talk
by ElderEtta ini had just turned 18 and was a young mover in our congregation, vac pioneering on summer vacation, instruction talks in the km school and at local circuit assembly, plans to serve where the need was greater in a different state.
i was also engaged to be married in the following spring to a girl in that distant state.. this was november and i had just registered for the draft having turned 18. my parents said i could make my move after registering.
i saw the stack of handbill invitations to my very first public talk although i can't remember its title.

Had I had a chance to talk with them I would have asked "since Jesus only had his very close apostles with him at the 'last supper' what is the BIBLE PRECEDENT for JW's inviting everyone they ever met to go to the memorial? Not only that, you yourselves (supposedly) are only an invited guests, onlookers, what right do you have to invite strangers or anyone to a party that is not yours? I really don't care anymore, just to mess with them a little.

If the Watchtower corporation went bust

Watchtower is a real estate company, buying, building, selling, buying, selling,......that's what they do. It's a successful business. Out of the printing business and into latest technology media business, another smart corporate decision saving millions. Taking in $$$$$ and streamlining operations. Billion dollar operation is not going anyplace.

I said earlier this is speculation and it is. The corporation is not going bust. I am all over the Hudson Valley in NY surrounded by dozens of multi million dollar commercial and residential properties owned by the corporation. They are in a never-ending state of demolition, remodeling, rebuilding, new construction -- it never stops. I see their fleets of new and late model trucks and machinery. The corporation reminds me of a dirt poor nation because the dictator steals the wealth of the nation and has 10 palaces. That's where their money is. And remember, it's not about religion and worship, religion is just the hook to keep people coming, it's is about men with self important attitudes and swelled heads buying high end properties and building up corporate headquarters. That's it.

To add to my previous comment......6 months after the corporation breakup the dynamics/reaction many of the witnesses would have will be completely different than immediately after. Get past the shock and emotion thinking changes.

Speculation but here goes. 40 percent deeply tramatized, but would soon enjoy the freedom, 20 percent tries to keep things going as is, 10 percent form various spli ter groups, 30 percent walk away thinking that's enough of that shit.

Who is going to make the earth a paradise?
by Sour Grapes inwhen i was a jw elder and dreamed of living in paradise, i pictured all of the animals, beautiful people, perfect weather, welcoming back the dead and teaching them about god.
the only problem is to get to the point of making the earth a paradise first there will be around 8 billion bodies to bury.
then how are we going to dig through all of the rubble and collapsed buildings using what tools?

I'm sure I am not the only one that remembers back in the 1970's when we started building quick build Kingdom Halls and the RBC was developed there was always talk that Jehovah was training us now for the big rebuilding work to come after Armageddon. A lot of enthusiam back in those days and the quick builds were much better than going to the meeting on Sundays. We ate good and flirted with the sisters and made some friends that were in the same trades. Back then it was believable we were being "trained" by Jeh. For me when the RBC became established and fully entrenched the brothers in charge got swelled heads and self-important attitudes and I felt the whole good spirit of those early builds was gone. So that's what I did, been there, done that, I'm GONE.

Regarding this so called judgment message..
by nowwhat? inwill our fearless leaders the gb call a news conference and invite all the major news networks and outlets and put their asses on the line and declare "you are all doomed!
" or will they have the rank and file do all the dirty work while they sit back in their gated corporate country club?!
ask any jdub that question!.

If the GB had any balls they would be in Russia or some dirt poor African country spearheading the work. I can remember years ago at summer conventions how strong, carefully worded resolutions against governments and religion and everyone applauds and thinks.how bold the organization is and I used to think what a load of bullshit--that really got governments and Catholics shaking in their boots.
