Biahi, yes, I knew a brother with a large property with numerous houses on it. He left it all to the society except for one house his daughter lived in. The society contested the will and they won, daughter couldn't afford to fight the society's legal team. They took the girl's house.

by LongHairGal ini just saw this post on reddit and can hardly believe it.. if i remember correctly years back they told you not to have anything to do with non-jw friends or relatives.
they discouraged you from bothering with non-jw family and to avoid them on holidays!!
i needlessly missed out on some delicious holiday meals with people who genuinely cared about me.

My guess is the money guys in the organization know that property and money may inherited or left to relatives unknown to them so by having close contact names gives them a head start on going after anything of value not willed to the society. They can be ruthless when it comes to claiming rights to a dead witnesses' property.

Some Jw's are the worst employees
by Foolednomore ini found a company and employed an elder as an underwriter and two ms as sales and marketing.
anyway, this elder will delegate his work to the ms in sales and marketing, so he can go home early.
he knew when he got started that this would be a 10 hour a day job with some saturday.

JW's may also be not good tenants, especially if they are pioneering. They think they deserve everything for nothing.

It was 2010 and I was forcing myself to go, about 10 min into watchtower study I said to myself I just can't do this anymore. Got up and walked out. Never been back.

also, they would not really talk to anybody at all.
they would start their time as soon as they got dressed an out the door, while us regular shucks started our time at the first door we knocked at.

What they would say....your giving a witness even if you don't talk to anybody because they see you out there. Jeh sees you. Setting a good example in the congregation. All that BS. I had trouble believing Jeh would want anyone to waste life away doing something so unproductive. -

In for over 50 years. Elder for 20 years. Proud to say I never pioneered once. Never temporary pioneered, never vacation pioneered, never pioneered for a day, .......not once.

Male-female friendship and dating

but how do things work if you want to date someone of the other sex if you can’t have close friendship with?.

Best to find potential boy/girlfriend in another town/city. Visit, have fun, do what you're gonna do, then come home and be a good JW. Don't breath a word about your friend to anyone. Called a "double life".
