Meetings
by pontoon inso remember how assembling together is a command and no man or government can stop us, even if it means going 'underground', even if means being arrested, jailed, beat....can't stop us from assembling together----until covid.
now it's "false regligion" fighting for their constitutional right to meet together while the jws seem to be perefectly happy zooming their lives away..

Borg been morphing into a TV evangalist for a long time. Remember the illustration 5 meetings a week are like 5 fingers, which finger are you willing to lose? Then bye bye book study. I can see kingdom halls going but assemblies and conventions are huge money makers, millions and millions. I don't know what their latest money sucking tactics over zoom are now. -

Trade union membership
by Panka inhi, i am currently supporting a jw colleague with some work problems and have advised them to join our trade union for official support.
am i right that jehovah 's witnesses can't vote or contribute to political funds, but they can join trade unions?
thanking anyone who can help me understand.

BOE Update! (as of 2020-07-31)
by Atlantis inbody of elder letters, announcements, and so forth will be next to "none" unless more elders decide to contact us and help out.. atlantis has lost three elders in the past two years.
two elders were disfellowshipped, and one disassociated and walk away a month ago.. when this happens receiving confidential documents is severed.
the last announcement we received was 2020-07-23. i was not about to send out a childish letter on "mold" in the kingdom halls.. there are people out there out of work and concerned about what they will eat tomorrow, and the watchtower is concerned with mold!.

Hello Atlantis. don't post much. We met some time ago! Just to chime in on your post I see that some long time elders when the retire and move away is when they "drop out." Doing that makes it eaiser to leave the cult. I do not know any witnesses in the territory of my retirement house and trying to keep it that way.

De Niro Wants To See A Bag of Sh*t On Trump’s Face

who thinks like that?.

So he plays "make believe" for a living. He must think that qualifies him to make morally obcene judgements about the POTUS. At least some of the characters he has played are more civil and have more class than he does.

Question from yesterdays persecution article...
by JW_Rogue inwhat are you resolved to do if under ban?.
i wonder how many people were thinking about how that would be a great excuse to leave!
finally, a good out, you were just too afraid of the persecution.

My only question about persecution since the other sheep are not even Christ's brothers according to Watchtower, they only benefit from association and support of the anointed, why aren't anointed and especially (at least some) of the GB moving to places (Russia) to bear the brunt of the persecution? The GB should shoulder their responsibility and leave their digs at the Place On the Lake and go to wherever persecution is and do whatever they can to relieve the lowly other sheep from persecution that Jesus foretold they (his brothers) would have to endure. Maybe GB has no backbone, or do they not mind others enduring what they should be. Bunch of con men..

And the money grab goes on.....how many circuit assemblies, special days, whatever they call them now, each weekend, in hundreds if not thousands of assembly halls in the US alone. This is one huge money making scam raking in millions of $$$$$$ week after week just from assembly halls. Just think-- your circuit is done, next weekend another circuit is in, another $$ grab for what? oh, the same thing as your circuit, maintenance upkeep, repairs, utilities and so it goes, Assembly hall near me has something going on just about every weekend. Starting late spring or early summer it is used for district assemblies. Give them credit, they know how to rake it in.

What is the current pulse in the organization with the reductions?
by SouthCentral ini have not seen jehovah’s witnesses in my neighborhood for several years now.
it appears that the cart witnessing has taken over.
congregations are being consolidated and witnesses are being forced to travel a greater distance than before.the burdens/privileges of elders seem to be ever increasing!.

At a local Dunkin Donut shop i see two sisters with a cart just about every day, even when it is not much above 0 degrees F, there they are freezing their asses off. In two years I've never seen them talking to anyone, not once. Sad waste of time. Where they stand and set up their cart is away from the door of DD and is not even real noticeable to the DD customers, after they first showed up in that spot I saw them for about two weeks before I even realized who they were. I go to DD with a lady from work and she has never commented anything like what the hell are they standing there for day after day, what they are doing is so insignificant.. Doesn't seem to be much old fashioned field service around here anymore, but maybe the locals have made me a 'not to call' on person , I don't know. Pontoon in the Hudson Valley, about 25 miles from Watchtower Farm.
