  i started a thread on this guy's comments about building kingdom halls here.. the guy also said this (again, not a word for word quote, but the gist of his comments):.

  "the primary hope of salvation is the resurrection.

  Do you believe that Jehovah is using the Organization today?

  any elder has never asked me that question so far but i want to be prepared to answer that question if any of them ask me that question in the future.

  i hope that they will never ask me that question.

  any suggestions on how to answer that question would be very much appreciated.

I hope that they will never ask me that question. Any suggestions on how to answer that question would be very much appreciated. I still have JW family that is still in the org. I prefer not to be outspoken against the org. I keep my thoughts to myself. I think it is best for me to not to criticize the org to others outside of this forum.

  in his book crisis of conscience, raymond franz likened the governing body to the proverbial 'iron fist in a velvet glove'.

  this would seem harsh if it weren't for the fact that there is ample proof that their policies and teachings have caused much pain amongst the friends.

  for example, many families have been torn apart through their shunning policy.

  YES! They are VERY humble! Many JWs told me that over the years after meeting them. My Mom met Samuel Herd and Ted Jaracz more than a decade ago at Morning Worship at Bethel just before they also went to the Annual Meeting. She said they are so humble. My late Dad met them too.

  Elder wants to stop by with the CO for a visit .

  so i got a text from an elder who i consider one of the good guys and a friend in his own way.. he asked if he could bring the co by for a visit.

  he said it would be "just a pleasant call and visit and will hopefully encourage my wife".

  he says that "he knows she is dealing with a ton of pressure".. in all my years around the organization, i never had a visit from the circuit overseer.

  I have not read all of the comments here yet. You might want to heed Wing Commander's suggestion and not tell your wife about the text you received from the elder. I hope she will never find out about the elder's text or the shit will hit the fan. LOL.

  I agree with Ruby, Nathan and the Searcher. It is best for you to have Anger Management Class or talk with therapist about your anger issues. I used to be very angry but I am not that way anymore. Just chill out at all times and you will be alright. I have been shunned etc too. Been there done that!
