Witnessing Just After Sunrise
by Iamallcool inabout everytime i go to the grocery store just after sunrise, i can see the witnesses sitting and waiting inside their cars to distribute literature.
it is not against the law for them to do that.
i was wondering do they allow parking lot witnessing in your area?.

by zeb ini have a 'financial advisor' email tell of massive changes coming to us (and thereby world currencies) on the above date.. does 13-dec 2017 mean anything to anyone.?.
he is talking about the removal of cash etc now if this is half way correct where does it leave the money machine of the wt?.

When You Were A JW Did You Ever Stand For The National Anthem?
by minimus inas a witness i always found a way to not have to embarrass myself by sitting down for the national anthem.. i’m curious.

When I was a teenager, i went with JW family more than few times to the baseball game. The last time I went with that family to the ball game, they stood up for the flag but I did not because I want to please Jehover. Mind you, The father was an elder at that time. I told my Dad after the ball game what happened with the family stood up for the flag. Few months later the JW family quit attending the meetings but the Mother and one of her sons came back to JW. The son is now an elder. The father and two other sons are out of the borg for good.

No idea if he is now DO. No, he is not short. He is about 6 ft tall, maybe very few inches shorter than 6 ft. Nornal weight.

When he came to my congregation, a lot of people were very surprised that he is very young. Maybe others here know him too! He served the Houston TX Circuit. I wouldn't lie about his age. I asked one of the elders how old is he?? The word spread quickly about his age. He is born in JW.

He became CO when he was 23. I was wondering is he the youngest CO ever? His name is Jonathan Smith. He is from South Dakota. I wouldn't be surprised if he is still the CO! Anybody know him?

Were You Ever SHOCKED That Someone Got Appointed As An Elder?

likewise when i came to someone being appointed a presiding overeer or whatever they are called now!

Yes, a brother who has been a MS for many years. I thought he will never been an elder. While he was MS, he only done Annoucements for Service Meetings, never gave number 1 talk and BH. No Public talks at all! He does not make eye contact with Audience at all when he is on the Platform. After he got appointed as an Elder, he started giving number 1 talks BH and finally Public Talks. He still reads the talks, no eye contact with the Audience. He has some education, that's it. He is just very good with his hands. He has pretty good mechanical aptitude. He has been on many KH quick builds. I think the elders did not recommend him to be an elder. I think CO recommended him to be an elder and BOE probably said alright! After the meeting, I told one of the elders that I was very surprised that he got appointed as an Elder. His facial expression tells me that he did not agree with him to be an elder. He just shrugged off not saying any word at all.
