  Sex is a VERY good thing!!!!!

  SO visit sex discussion boards and go for it!!

  This is JW Discussion Board..some just seem intent on making it sex-R-Us instead.

  Just the other night some kid was in the JW chat. He was of the impression based on his reading of the board here, that this would be the place where he could get hooked up for some non-comittal sex, possibly even try swinging with some ex-jws who wouldn't turn him into the elders.

  Looking at so many of the threads, I am not surprised he made that conclusion, however erroneous. The Society told him people that leave the Org lose all moral sense, he comes here reads all the sex threads and what he was taught by the Borg is confirmed. So where better to come look for a sex partner?

  Is this really what Simon wanted of this place?

  Just food for thought.

  I know for a fact of several active JW's that came here looking for information that were so repulsed by the sex threads that show up in the active threads view, they quickly reasoned, 'this is no place for me.'

  And now this thread again, what purpose does this serve. Simon's, kent's H20, Freeminds, whatever all serve a purpose. Stirring up board wards only helps the Watchtower.

  Are you starting to clue in why I and others might be getting a little fed up with your antics here?

  May I ask why then you are now chosing to become that which you just condemned in your last post?

  Your rampant desire to talk about little else but sex can't help but leave the impression there are some serious issues you have in that regard, i.e. addiction. Have you considered getting counselling not just over this but even in your desire to go back into something so wrong as your last relationship.

  Find a good therapist Butalbee, it will help.

  Is it cheating? How you personally feel about it is really irrelevant. How your significant other feels about it is much more important.

  Hey if you are single... whatever turns your crank (presuming mutual consent and no animals or children!), but once you are in a committed relationship, IMO engaging in sexual fantasy with another person is inappropriate and a betrayal to the 'exclusive intimacy' that should be reasonably expected by the significant other in your life, be it spouse or an exclusive boyfriend/girlfriend type relationship.

  Just my opinions and moral stance I take for myself.

  As I mentioned 4 of the 25 points listed are direct insults to the US. I admit that and being a true canadian, I apologize for not editing them out from the original before posting it here.

  I suppose it is ironic that a post I make in fun is taken so seriously by others...uhhhhh ummm not that I would ever do that.... uhhh moving right along....

  Canadian Cuisine? Poutine for one! fresh cheese curds, that special grravy.. heart attack waiting to happen!! LOL Smoked mesquite gopher is pretty popular too. ROFL

  Thanks for posting the lyrics harm. Like I said most Canadians laughed right along with the Southpark gang and Robin Williams doing that song during the Oscars... Hilarious!!!!!

  I admit #11, 15, and 20 were pushing the envelope and #25 was a little bit of a cheap shot at the US' expense.

  I do know that Canada is the brunt of many a joke in the US, and we quietly endure it often chuckling right along with those poking fun(i.e South Park "Blame Canada") ... but that is just something that also make up Canadians.

  Canadians are a very patriotic people. IT is just that our patriotism was something internal and rarely vocalized or 'shoved in people's faces'. I am glad to see Canada starting to vocalize their pride, becoming just a little more 'american' in the way we express out nationalism.

  this is the deal: i'm disfed as of 1981. i've known the shunning thing all these years.

  i have devout jw siblings and my parents are jws but not active or unreasonably devout.

  my father is 80 and my mother is 77. my mother has metastatic breast cancer and is currently receiving treatment.. .

  I admire you greatly for looking out for your parents' interests. It is a shame you sister was hurt but who knows maybe it will motivate her o do more in caring for her responsibilities too.

  Or as some people do, they cry to shift attention from the fact that they were just caught and crying might make the person feel guilty.

  Keep takin care of your parents and watching out for their interests Marilyn. Your sister can and should be doing the same. IF she feels badly about not doing her Christian duty, then she can easily remedy it. If she doesn't I know I would be left with the impression that the crying was just a tactic.

  Hoping all is well there with you and yours. It has been a while. I presume your daughter has her degree now? Keeping you in my thoughts
