  ReubenFine, you are correct, government should never be trusted completly, that is why there is a free press, to hold their feet to the fire.

  However, I am still haunted by the collapse of the two trade tower buildings. I am even more haunted by the photographs of the dead Kurd mother holding her dead daughter. This was a result of the gas attack by the Iraqi army. Saddam, who hates the US and the UK will, I am convinced, launch a similar attack on the US if given a chance. If anyone thinks this despot will not attack the US in a similar fashion, please give my your reasons for thinking in that manner. This is a madman and he is more dangerous left alone than if someone takes him out.

  hbo, did an excellent documentary on former slave narratives that were archived 70 years ago and just have become more accessable.

  this is what taught history skirts around and should not.

  to forget ones past is a dangerous thing.

  Slaves were buried there and were segregated by a fence

  Can anyone tell me the purpose of segregating someone after death? I am 66 years old and I have never seen a dead person hurt anyone. The old army post cemetary at El Reno, Oklahoma has German and Itialian prisoners of war, who died while they were POW's during WW2, segregated by a stone fence. Doesn't make sense to me. Come to think of it, segregation doesn't make a whole lot of sense, dead or alive. Bug

  it takes a good look at the raelians and other cults of french origin.. speaking of france, it says that "the government has drawn up a list of 172 groups it considers to be cults; those deemed the most 'dangerous' are subject to special scrutiny.

  the list, which attracted criticism from civil libertarians, includes jehovah's witnesses and seventh -day adventists.".

  This effort failed because under that law politicians would have been banned.

  This was a difficult read as the author brought out memories I thought I had already put to rest. Do we ever get over the less than pleasant experiences we had as witnesses? Perhaps the worst part of our experience is looking back at it and wondering, "how could I have been so dumb." Thanks for posting this very powerful article. Bug

  I do not know if you have seen the horrors of war

  No, I haven't seen the horrors of war in person, but I was watching Television when the 2nd plan hit the World Trade Center. I have also seen the pictures of dead mothers holding their dead children after being gassed by Saddams bullys. This mad man already doesn't appreciate us and everyone admits he still has these weapons of mass destruction, so there is no reason to believe he will not use them on the US or the UK. Just remember, he is closer to the UK than to the US. Bug

  i was born 67 years ago, it was the coldest feb 10 since that day.

  i heard this on the radio.

  it was about 4 miles from where i live in eden in an upstairs room in my mother's parents home.

  I was born November 9, 1936 and according to my somewhat less than perfect math that makes you 9 months older than me, almost to the day. Man you're old !!! However, you need to remember that old folks is anyone ten years older than you. Congratulations !!!!
